Frodo Satelite Radio X

Hey guys, Frodo has the second Alpha up in his mp3car.com forum for his XM application, which is really coming along nicely.

While its not as good as if David released a module for XM, for the time being it is great, because now you can embed it.

I'm going to make a skin that will work well in centrafuse, but I want to know what size the window that centrafuse embeds to is.

I'm using the 800X600 stretched skin. Please help me out, and i'll post a skin for us to use ASAP, so we can finally have XM integrate(well, sort of)

My idea is to have the channel number, channel name, and song information displayed on the top, with 9 or so favorites buttons in the main centrafuse window.

Then, i'd like to make the grid of channels visible when we click the full screen button.

SO i need two things

Using the 800X600 skin for centrafuse

What are the dimensions for

A) The main embedding window
B) the "fullscreen" window

Heres my idea.

Inside Centrafuse

When Fullscreen Enabled

*Course things will be better centered once i do it for real.

Thanks!

ok, think i found the values in the skin xml file

610x401 for normal mode

800x520 for full mode.

Since noone has said otherwise, i'm gonna try these out.

Hey Prindle,

Not trying to hijack your thread, but I've been working on a skin as well, trying to get it to match with the stock CF color scheme (as seen below). Only thing I can't figure out is how to determine what color is what, when specifying in the skin.ini file..

eg Being quite the amateur skinner, "PLAYLIST_BACK_COLOR_1=8080207" means nothing to me.. What format is this color specified in?

Thanks..

i asked frodo, its some type of "component" color sheme...never heard of it.

Are you having trouble with hibernating while inside centrafuse, and coming back from hibernation and having it work?

Also, are you having problems with FSRX not shutting down correctly?

My skin for centrafuse use of FRSX

Hmm.. component, ey? Were you able to find a conversion tool, or how to go about converting RGB to this component scheme?

Oh yeah, I've got shutdown issues.. and a 1GB memory dump file taking up space now as well.. lol

If I quit FSRX, and then close CF, I can close CF normally, but XM keeps playing. If I exit CF without exiting FSRX, the PC blue-screens, and mentions WIN32K.SYS. I hadn't tried it on the carputer yet, so I wasn't sure if it was perhaps just something with my home PC causing the problem.. You got something similar brewing?

Just tried your skin, looks very nice, but are you missing an exit button?

Ok, I've figured out the BSOD issue: If I enable MUTE_LINE_ON_EXIT=LINE in FrodoSatRadX.ini, it blue-screens when I exit CF without closing FSRX first..

If you haven't already figured it out, the color scheme is basically MS Access color codes, which are apparently the same asVBScript colors. I found an index of the colors here http://www.endprod.com/colors/216safe.htm

Prindle19:
The actual mathematical formula is to sum the decimal color values times these factors:

(Red*1) + (Green*256) + (Blue*65536) = component color value

Prindle - I made Centrafuse-y looking skin based on your skin's layout. I removed some stuff that I'll never use, such as the "tools" and hide-channels, and add extra favorite channels options.

Here are the screenshots, let me know if it's OK for to post a zip with the entire skin, in case anyone's interested..

Peace!
