I just noticed a new 'Feature' with the new version. I'm using iGuidance with the RoutisLancher hack as my GPS solution. It starts and embeds just fine the first time, but if you switch to another screen, then flip back to the nav screen, CF starts another copy of iGuidance. My guess is that it's looking for the process specified in the settings to be running (ie "routislauncher.exe") instead of iGuidance.

If use iguidance.exe in the settings, the problem does not occur...

Hope that makes sense.

:-)

David,

I installed the new version ( 1.2) and the song/track info is STILL not being saved when windows is shut down.

I dont understand why this is..

My setup is M10000 board with a Carnetix 1260 which presses the pwr button when i pull the key out. i have windows configured to "shut down" when the power button is pressed. Windows does exactly that and when the OS gives CF the command to close it doesnt save anything.

Can some one else confirm that it works or doesnt? I would love to hibernate but for some reason my setup ( hdd issue prolly ) doesnt like resuming in cold weather. and i havent wired a reset button up to my seat yet.

Lev

PS. I think it would be great if you saved the currently selected folder/directory in music manager so that the next time i go into it i can see what folder i am in currently. I would also like to see the current folder's name somewhere on the main screen so i know what is being played now.

problems I have noticed, sorry if they have been repeated elsewhere, least it makes sure it is not just them or me.

1: Song info not always saved on shutdown (might use the tracks it started up with last time)
2: D3 view not recalled
3: D3 save favorite does not allow keyboard to show for name entry.
4: Radiator does not work after hibernate (maybe a hook to unload radiator / reload radiator on standby / hibernation resume ?)
5: D3 'exit' does not actually 'exit' it just does the same as home... IE if you plana route, then exit so you dont have to listen to the direction until you get the the fiddly bits a bit closer its useful to actually quit D3. OR have a mute directions button.

I also use a carnetix...1280 ..(similar setup, key power..etc.)and when the pc shuts down.....centrafuse does not save the last song and when it reloads upon boot always starts at the same song unless I specifically exited CF before shutdown(pulling out the key). Seems like it is getting a hard terminate from windows almost.

This should have been fixed.... I will take a look into it... I am also going to make it update the status on the fly for the people who don't use shutdown controllers, which should solve your problems...

Sweet! Cant wait till thats done!

Another thing i would like to point out is that The selected directory in music manager is not saved either and sometimes that is the only way to check what directory you are currently in.. since the main window does not show it.

2 small things

As always a GREAT frontend!!!

I noticed:
When doing ID3 reading, could you let the user know when itīs done reading? Just write out the text in <OK>X</OK> or something.

I know you are working on external app support, where will you implement it? I think the HOMEPAGE would be a nice place, I very rarely use Internet, Traffic & Weather, those are the ones I would like to replace.

quick question, is it possible to play audio from one folder and also play video from another folder on random without having to add anything to the favs list??

I want my music to be completely shuffled. I have music videos as well as mp3 and i want them all playing random. Can centrafuse do that?

thanks.

you could create a large playlist with all the music and videos you want to play and load it, and use random... this will work...
