Does Video or DVD support Video_TS folders?

I have ripped alot of DVD's into my computer. Do either of these support listing and playing the DVD's that I have stored on the computer?

Also, can you tell me what formats ae support by Video? I have tried searching to find a list, but have no mention of them anywhere.

From what I can undestand it'll play anything you have the appropriate codec/filer for.
I've played *.vob files in video mode, just add VOB in the config file for video formats.

I tried this. It seems that it doesn't work to good. It will play, but the graphics are very slow and jumpy. This is on a 2.4Ghz laptop with ATI Radeon 9000 Video and DX 9.0. The system also has 768mb of Ram.

Maybe it will work better in the next release.

If you install PowerDVD 6 and load up the configuration there is an option to "Enable Hardware Accleration". PowerDVD 6 supports the VIA onboard graphics controller and should solve all your jerky problems. WinDVD might have hardware support for VIA, but I am not sure.

If you have a bunch of codecs installed then I am not sure how to tell you my program is for certain going to use the proper one. I would uninstall any other mpeg2 codecs and just install one that supports hardware acceleration.

I have WinDVD 6 Installed and it runs perfect on this computer. This doesn't have Onboard VIA Graphics, to crappy for me. All I use is ATI Radeon built in Graphics or AGP Boards. This system is my laptop and uses an ATI Radeon 9000 Chip, with 64mb of DDR Memory, dedicated to the Video only.

I have found this same feature in WinDVD and set this to being on. It is doing the same thing now.

Any other Ideas? I will try it on my car system later to see what happens.

the easiest thing would to be to just conform to the "standard"... you can easily rip those to Divx format, it will take about 2 to 4 hours per movie, but the biggest deal is the amount of space savings... and don't even think that it will be a reduction in quality, because the codecs now are really tweaked well... I rip to 700MB files for all my DVDs... so about 1/5th the space of a DVD-R

look into Dr Divx, it is literally a click, click, wait program... super easy... (and yes there are free alternatives, but DrD works fine)
