The D3 PC version isn't complete yet, therefore it's not readily available. It will be finished soon, if it isn't already. Also... You make it sound like some anonymous user hacked a PDA DLL and got it working on the PC and this is not the case. Powerloc was always working on a PC version of D3, they created this SDK and DLL, which is meant for the PC only. They did slow down the project and consider not finishing it, which caused a lot of talk in the forums here... Some anonymous user did hack the DLL to allow it to use bigger maps... Don't be confused... Powerloc wrote the PC version of D3 and that is all myself and NM use.. We just wrap a frontend around all of Powerloc's code from their DLL which they wrote for the PC...

no... When I refer to the DLL and PC version of Destinator 3 I am talking about the SDK. If you have used the SDK then you can see that it is pretty much a fully functional PC version of Destinator 3. All those menus and screens are from the SDK and not customized by myself or NM. Powerloc is throwing together a PC version based on their SDK. This is all that you will need to purchase and install for CENTRAFUSE to work. Once installed it will register the needed DLL.

As for people who already purchased the PDA version and have the maps, all they would need is the final retail version DLL, but after speaking with Powerloc I am not sure they want to seperate it. They want the only way to have the legal final retail DLL installed is by installing their upcoming PC version. They will possibly have upgrade deals for people with the PDA version to get a copy of the PC version, but I am not sure.

Oh right I have the SDK + PC DLL version - the only current way for PPC users to upgrade seems to use the unofficial method of paying for the SDK, the moaning like buggery about wanting the proper DLL.

For an 'international' company they sure are bad at communication, it seems internally and with their customers.

David, do you have any plans to implement methods of writing plug-ins, similar to Map Monkey's MonkeyTalk DLL?

So, let me make sure I understand in a nut shell....PC ver. is not ready. CF would support D3 as so as its released, and since I'm not a programer (network guy) I'm not going to fool with it. I'll just buy something else like copilot or MS S&T.

I've emailed them, I'm sure David can do the same to see if they have an ETA on the full PC version

Last time I talked with Powerloc they told me the PC version would be complete in about 4 to 5 weeks. That was almost a month ago.

Copilot is great but it wont embed into any application without some tricks
If someone knows how to embed it into CF let me know!
