Which GPS in CF??
Mod's is posted in the wrong spot please move..
O.K. I just got the last part in yesterday and ready to begin the install.
One question..which version of D3 do I use. I've already 'ed, and I all I come up with are bug reports and other issues.
Do I just buy the maps or the software for PDA? I was about ready to buy MS S&T 2005 on sunday (on sale $100 with GPS mouse). Sorry if this question has been answer before but I can not find it.
oh gods of MP3CAR, bless me with your knowledge.
I will be running a P3 with 512...

I use routis 2004 right now.. I originally bought the s&t 2005 .. it has great points of instrest .. but the routing is ok.. but there is no 3d view.. and no voice guided directions..and automatic re-routing..
I'm looking at copilot live 8 right now .. I may also look into destinator later..

??? wtf? I can use either MapMonkey (must purchase the dll from destinator to use it with larger maps - which must also be purchased), or builtin gps in CF (also destinator, requires purchase of dll+maps)...

You just need the DLL and maps... These will both be installed once the PC version of Destinator 3 is installed, which isn't currently available. They are still beta testing it. I will get back in touch with my Powerloc contact and check on the progress...

But CF 1.2-> was already supposed to have Destinator 3 support, is this with Destinator 3 PC version? (when it comes out)?

Destinator 3 is Mapmonkey (sort of)
CF programmed to manipulate D3 within CF... Hence integrated.
Install Mapmonkey and setup the GPS Windows name in CF Setup and you will see.
D3 was originally produced for PDA only, NM hacked the .dll file to allow it to run on PC and with full size Maps.... The guys at destinator were a bit ****ed about this so stopped it and forced NM to use a restriced .dll in any more release which is why, if you download MapMonkey now from the support software sub-forum, you will se a big gay red message and only allowed to use smaller maps.
So you need the old .dll and full size maps....,, which you should really buy.
But as i understand it Veetid is doing a deal with PowerLoc (The guys that make the real version of D3) to become a distributer, then he can integrate it Fully into CF but this will probably mean we have to pay for it - along with the Charges for PhoCo,
However those not wanting to pay will still be able to use a basic version for free which will be something like what we are all using now.
think thats about it - im sure Royn will correct me if i am wrong!

The dll was hacked by an anonymous user, no relation to NM! Just keep that straight, or he'll be after ya!

It's also really too bad there isn't a downloadable trial, or even able to download D3 after paying! But alas, it's just a few day delivery.
/me waits.

I have the fully legal DLL/PC D3 version from destinator to use it on the PC, I bought the PPC version of D3 for the UK and the $50 SDK and they sent me the right DLL, eventually.

Why oh why is it so difficult to get the right dll anyway? I've noticed that many people have to bug the hell out of them at PowerLoc to get it.
