MP3 Problem in Centrafuse

HI first of all. Total newbie using centrafuse.

To the problem, when i play a mp3 with centrafuse it makes a really odd popping noise, i played the same file with mediaplayer and it worked perfectly. When playing a movie or a dvd it is fine, it is even ok with a cd. I even went to the extreme of purchasing a 5.1 external sound card but this still has not cleared the problem. SO in a nutshell this only happens with mp3

Please help if you can, thanks in advance

Mark

After listening a bit harder it sounds like it has an echo if that helps, but still only does it with mp3

maybe a codec issue, did you install something like nimo codec pack or similar? if so, uninstall and retry

Yes i did install nimo codec pack to get the video to play as it requires the codecs. If this is the problem, which codecs are you using for your system ?

Thankyou for the help

single codecs, ffdshow for mpeg4 decoding, windvd filters for mpeg2 decoding
nothing else for me, if you need other codecs install them one at the time, do not use integrtors like nimo, or at least deselect mp3 codec during installation, maybe it prevent the decoding problem

why not ffdshow? it gives full mpeg4 decoding, so divx, xvid and others mpg4 baset are decoded with no problems. it also includes very powerful post processing filters
take a look

I'm having the same exact issues. Had issues with codecs before, hopefully your solution will work for me.
