Can't play DVD's - Page 2

OK, just to clarify, I can watch DVDs with WINDVD but not in CF.

You're probably right about the conflict though.

it is a dvd/cd burner, if that helps any.

I have uninstalled WMP10 and reverted back to WMP9.

I am using NVIDIAs encoder and WMP9 will play DVDs and Video files perfectly.

When I use CF the DVD doesn't play at all, no chapter indication or recognition of the DVD. Video files play without sound.

I'm stumped!

EDIT: Ive uninstalled NVIDA and installed WinDVD6. Everything plays fine in WIN DVD6 but not in WMP9.

Re-installed NVIDIA. WMP9 now plays everything fine.

CF shows video with no sound. Doesn't play DVDs.

Still stumped!

David, can you confirm that if it plays in WMP9 it should play in CF? (keep your attention on the next release though!)

If it plays in WMP 9 or 10 it should play in CENTRAFUSE, but I have heard of people having problems once there codecs get all messed up... Best would be to do a fresh install of XP and just install WinDVD6 and I bet it plays DVD's... Did you ever install a codec pack? If so then I have seen those cause this same problem and even if you uninstall them they are still on your machine...

I am running from fresh install.

All I have are the Windows codecs, WinDVD6 codecs and Nvidia codecs.

Everything is nice and clean.

I'll hang on 11 days and do a reinstall when the next release of CF comes around
