Hey Dave: I assume this still requires that you provide one skin per Aspect ratio. right? Otherwise, if you only provide a base skin for a 4:3 aspect ratio (e.g. 800x600) when scaling to a ~16:9 aspect ratio (e.g. 800x480) things will not look quite right. Square buttons will look rectangular, etc etc.
If on the other hand, you provide a base skin for 4:3 and another one for 16:9, this probably covers all possibilities quite well.
Thoughts?

I agree... Inititally 1.3 will come with my widescreen skin.. This covers most users who will be running 800x600 stretched, 848x480, and 800x480...

Hardly any error checking is done and XML parsing is not done like it should be ( I only spend 30min on it to write it) but the script works perfect on David's skin.xml files.
You can convert to any size of skin, just fill in the desired WxH.
If there is need for a more advanced version I willing to spend some time to write a small webpage where you can upload your skin files (images and xml) and convert it on the page. But first I have to see what CF1.3 skins will do.
The script is written in perl and should work on all platforms (Linux, Windows, Mac...). Yes it is perl cause I am a Linux user but my CarPC is still windows
You can dowload it here: CF-skinresizer-0.1.zip
usage:
-unzip
-perl CF-skinresizer-0.1.pl skin.xml newskin.xml
-Fill in the original resolutions and desired resolutions and go....
Download fixed now, my provider does not like perl script downloads... unzip and go...
David: Reading the last posts does it mean you are going to write it yourself now?

Bokky: I really appreciate what you wrote and it looks good... I basically decided yesterday afternoon to go ahead and make CENTRAFUSE allow you to enter in the resolution you want to run or select run fullscreen... It resizes the images, converts all the coordinates from the XML, and dynamically resizes all your fonts... It works great...
I again appreciate your help, but your right... I don't need it anymore...

The continous adding of features makes it even more appealing to purchase. Good job to both Bokky and David.
