Have you thought of adding a feature for password protection upon loading CF? I searched this section and could not find anything related to passwords...
I envisions something that is touchscreen friendly (A SIMPLE KEYPAD), and that is nicely integrated with CF, so that it 'looks right' in terms of coloring, font styles, button styles, etc.
The idea behind this would be to set CF as the default shell (WIndows launches directly into CF bypassing the windows explorer desktop), and user is presented with a password prompt.
Doesn't have to be bulletproof. Sounds like it is a very simple useful addition? One use: keep valet parkers from mocking around with your system.

Im not generalizing, and I am also not saying that I limit my distrust to valet parkers.
I just plain and simple would not trust ANYONE to mess with my carputer. And since the only one aside from myself ever to drive my car would be a valet, those are the ones that worry me.

I think this would be a good addition to CF itself...ability to hit a 'lock' button right within the software. What do you guys think?

I think a better idea would be to use a hardwired switch for your screen. A good idea that i've come up with is to use your cigarette lighter (if you don't smoke) and wire it up to a relay that can switch the power on/off to your screen. You keep the display useable by pushing in the lighter. When you valet the car, pop the lighter out, and the system won't work.
