Feature Request: auto Weather dl option
I think it would be handy to have the weather )and maybe other things such as rss feeds/podcasts (maybe the computer could read them to me? ) download automatically everytime the computer is in a 'connected' state?
I generally do not hit 'weather' b4 i leave my driveway...which leaves me with outdated info.

i concur, it would be nice if we could cache weather, and perhaps other sites like traffic, etc, just before we leave the driveway and roll away from our waps.

I love the origional reply to the zip-code weather request: If you are driving away from home, why do you need to know the weather of your current possition... you could just look out the window.
But seriously, CF (in it's current configuration) only has access to the GPS if you are running integrated D3. If that is the case, it would be best to get the weather of the selected destinations zip-code.
David: Speaking of CF accessing the GPS, are you planning on adding GPS logging to CF like FP is doing and like that XBrady's GPS Secure app, or should we stick with running GPS Secure behind CF? It would be cool to have a log of everything in the car like: Weather conditions, traffic conditions, Music/Radio/Video/DVD/other front-end activity, GPS activity, OBD-II information, sound & video recording when "record" is selected from the front-end, startup/shutdown/hibernate logs, cpu/memory/HDD consumption, MB temp/fan/voltage sensors, etc. I know... I'm just dreamin' now

I normally don't check the weather to see what its like outside I am usually curious what the highs are for the day or the prediction for the evening or the next day etc

you can try out this software in the meantime. it delivers real time weather data for your area, alerts you to warnings, watches, etc, access to satellite, radar images, cams, also traffic data, automatically connects to internet when connection. they have free adware version. called weatherbug, http://www.weatherbug.com/

Sounds like a cool feature which would be espically useful to those with APs at their home. To have CF say something like:
"Good morning. Today's high will be 138*F with a zero percent chance of rain. Have a good day."
Some will like it and some will not. Regardless, it would be one more feature to add to the features list.
Derek
PS. That was the forecast a few days ago. I'll attach a picture of the termometer later tonight.
