I do this as well, but what about us who only have room for one screen, and/or have a 2-seat vehicle?

you can have it fullscreen by clicking the window? This discussion was about making it "auto" fullscreen when videos started... I was simply saying having an option to "auto" fullscreen on the primary screen for the driver probably wasn't a good idea... didn't say anything about taking the video away...

Thanks.... It's finally here !!!!
David, I would like to compliment you on your choice of setup for this. E-Mail through form submission with attached etc ...
It just looked professional, and I'm sure that you have the info that you need from it ( Read: readily accessable - nobody put on P2P )..
I have yet to open and install, but I am sure there are bugs ( there always are ) .
Now I just have to repair my power problem in the CarPC and get this going..
: Props :
Don

I haven't had the time to fully play with it, but from what I've seen, the software looks absolutly fantastic. For some reson it feels more realiable (probably because it looks so professionally). Keeping in mind that CF1 was a great piece of software, I didn't think it was possible to make CF2 so much better. You have done it again David!

not to be a pest
will an XM module be included in the next release...
if not.. any predictions when one might be available..
I can live with the embedding but would rather it be native..
..
also thank you BIG TIME...
the embeding of my apps works like a dream..
just took a little figuring out...

the next release will not include an XM module... The upcoming release, 1.4, will include many requested feature enhancements, bug fixes, and stability... 1.5 will follow once the SDK is complete and include weather, web, traffic, and PhoCo plugins... The SDK will be available for download with source code examples (probably the source to the weather plugin)... 1.6 will follow with integrated GPS... 1.7 will follow with integrated XM and OBD-II...
that's a rough timeline...
david

It's not going to be that long before you see these versions... I already have lots of the work complete on all the plugins and the integrated GPS..

what do you not like about it other than it's "crappo"? In 1.2 videos were seperated in a completly different section, which is not how it's going to work anymore... Give me some suggestions...
note: I love it this way because most all the videos I watch in my car are short music videos... I can now load up music videos with my music as one playlist... when you hit a video you get video in the vis window and otherwise you get the vis...
I have considered adding the slider back in fullscreen...
david

there is no integrated GPS in this version... you need to setup an external application to run the GPS software of your choice...

how about integrating the video with the dvd section and just rename that section to video? iirc you did mention something about going this route before.
but i do agree with Frankino here. video management in CF is very sloppy imho.
edit: heres the post where you mentioned integrated dvd and video in one section)
