w00t - embed visualizations

So the post in off topic about G-Force got me thinking and I went back to check out R4 (http://www.rabidhamster.org/R4/) It embeds perfectly and is an easy way to do some kick-*** visualizations.

Out of the documentation: "To use a PC-based player like Windows Media Player, Sonique or WinAMP, make sure that either 'Record Master', 'Mixer' or 'Wave' is selected, and the Volume is set above halfway (different sound cards have different names - if in doubt, experiment)."
Mine ended up being called Wave Out Mix and it worked best when at full volume.

I attached a screenshot of Centrafuse and the volume control for reference.

I tried it on my 1.4ghz centrino laptop with an ATI 9000 and it took 100% cpu cycles. I probably won't be putting it on my m10000

I welcome any feedback though; curious to see what kind of performance people are getting.

Hahah the creator of R4 does NOT like ATI :P

Yes runs @ 100% CPU here too with a very similar config (ati 9200 1.4 centrino.)

I have experienced it freezing once already but other than that it seems like the rest of the system is still quite responsive...but yeah I can imagine that this wouldn't run well at all on the mini-atx (?) solutions everyones using...

I can't imagine why anyone would want something so distracting in a Car! I tried this on my home PC, very cool. Thanks for sharing!
