The only thing I miss is a skin editor. I think centrafuse has it all.. it's just the layout that not suites me.. Have take a look at the skin.xml. It's not so hard I think but too much work to make your own skin.

Yeah a skin editor would be nice!!

This was one of my favorite and most used features of CF, now half the time i miss or press to far over and the window dissapears alltogether, which is annoying when you are tring to enlarge the window quickly to better see a turn on the GPS screen you are about to come up on.

it is being redesigned and will be much easier to press... I made those top bars way too small....

There is a complete new skin in the works that is going to be amazing, trust me...

note: my partner/designer made this first skin layout without a 7" touchscreen or having ever used a carputer... he has both now...

The inconvienient is a supplementary field in music database (main.dat) and perhaps longer music database bulding.

David what do you think about that?

will do... I needed something to fill that space for one more button

I'm still kinda trying to figure this new stuff out, but with the multiple playlist thing (clicking the HDD icon) and the Quick Library thing, the media manager is even more Album centric then ever. It just doesn't make sense at all if your entire collection is composed of downloads rather than rips (plus it really sucks that I still don't get album art since I have ID3 art rather than folder.jpg).

90% of my "Albums" only contain one song. The other 9% contain 2-3 songs. The last 1% has maybe 5 songs on average and I think I only have one complete album in my 5000+ song collection. I do not organize my collection in album directories, only artist directories. I do not want the same album art for every song by an artist, so I have album-art embedded in ID3 on a per song basis. I want all my music sorted by Artist-Title, not Artist-Album-Track#.

Will CF ever accomodate my library/listening style?

I made the mini and fullscreen vis be able to be seperate... when in fullscreen click the info bar and it will toggle between the visuals... when you click the main vis and go back to CF, your mini will still be at whatever vis it was before...

I do plan to add support to read art from the file, it's on my list of things to do next go around for sure...

2 questions:

- Is there a way to get rid of the external application title bar?
- Whats the recomended way to invoke fullscreen in this version?

iGmod looks like crap when it embeds. And thats a pretty small spot to press for touchscreen.

1.4:

1.5:

http://img271.imageshack.us/img271/6007/156xp.jpg - wasted space

The problem is more apparent with open menus, nothing is sized right. And the visible space is actually smaller. I suppose my request is to have the old look for embedding back (optional header, nice large fullscreen button)

the header was made a little too small, but there is a bug... the header and size area is not suppose to look like it does in your screen shots... I am looking into it... something is going wrong when the resolution is not native...

I'm on it! I've taken it apon myself to develope one for this version of CF. It'll take some time but expect good things. I noticed this great front end is lacking in skins and I think it's to do with the complexity of creating a skin, rather than having good artists using CF. So I've tasked myself with making it easier than it is right now to develop test and implement a skin.

Cheers,

Zerach

you rock.... once the base gets stable then the main skins will not have to be changed... just new plugins and plugin updates will have to be reskinned...
