I love it I love the colors and love the style. Also love the menu drop down idea. Makes it way less crowded. More OEM and will match alot more cars including mine. The current one looks way out of place its bright and a eye sore.
Keep up the good work.

Now we need a day skin. But, hopefully once CF becomes stable we'll have plenty of skins.

I love how the new skin looks. You guys do amazing work!

I'm with RPM, though, I have way to many songs to just show 5 at a time. Please find a way to increase the number shown.

New Interface looks awesome. You're skin designer has a lot of talent. I too like the idea of the high contrast color scheme. And bigger buttons are always a plus for fat fingers like mine.

When you release the production Centrafuse, what price range are you thinking about?

I dont like it att all. Lame ****.

If this is all we'll have in future... ill have to back in square one... which is choosing a frontend. Original choige of centrafuse was cause of its flashy looks. I got a tacky taste... i admit that.

Ill hope it will be optional besides current skin. And current skin will also enjoy continuation of support.

Oh and besides... icons are too colorful and complicated... whole point of icon or symbol is to be simple... like for example maprose instead of that globe... and how does speaker or receiver knob(or whatta hell the thing is) represent mixer. But phone is worst of icons... besides it looks like ericsson... i hope u checked nokia sponsorship options too...

Oh and since u wanted it to be 100% legal... i dont think u r actually allowed to use DVD-logo unless u have permission from DVD-forum... well i dont know this issue too well... but its registered trademark, and as far as i know only stores which sell dvds can use it without royalties or permission.

I can't make my mind up on this. But i know I won't be able to tell till i try it properly.

I kinda like the cleaner look - sorry PB, but I'm not a fan of tacky graphics . Definately dont think i like the idea of a drop down menu. This is in my mind a bad idea for a car front end. BAD IDEA. It means i have to press, then wait, and look again to make sure the menu has opened and then press. Not a huge effort, but its still more distracting. I can understand you reasoning for "more space" but I think this is a poor move. as a mate of mine said "hmm looks like media engine" and I dropped media engine to look at CF! NOOOoooo!!!

As PB feels, I hope this is going to be optional. Will we be able to make skins with the old style buttons David? Please? Cos I really don't want to drive headlong into the central reservation because my menu froze while I was trying to find the gps button....

I said earlier in this thread that I hoped we could use the old style as well as the new style, plus 3 or so other styles. The response I seemed to get from you David is that you think people will like the new skin once it is done and you will make it in a few colors.

People don't seem to have any problem changing the colors of your base-skin. I think that would be a waste of time for your designer. I'm not sure exactly how your code and XML work together, but from what I saw in that AUDI MMI skin, you should be able to allow multiple different layouts (with slightly varying functionality). This is what CF needs, multiple layouts to suit multiple preferences and opinions. I think the community can handle color changes on its own.

That's generally a bad idea. The first step of beginning any project is to look at all the similar projects to get ideas.

I like it. But, I don't know, there's just something about the current skin, that makes me like it more than this one...Do make it so, that the current skin will work with the future releases if possible please. I do like much better the bigger fonts and buttons though.

Thumbs down

My 2 cents worth.

I don't like it! (Pauline Hanson style for the aussies here)

As someone has already said, I hope the old skin is still offered as a choice. The function buttons down the left hand side are invaluable.
