Beta ran out? - Page 2

veetid, any fix?

This is clearly a bug, (at least) 3 different people have had a similar problem, 1.4 stopped working last night with no system changes on our part and the cfbeta14.zip license file doesn't fix things for us. We're left with out a usable CF. I'm happy to beta test CF 1.5, but sometimes I need a stable system!

I will have to create a new lic file... the beta on the last posted lic file had a beta expiration set to december 1, which I would have set longer but didn't really look at it... I also thought I would be a lot farther a long and people would be using newer versions....

I will try to pull up the old keys to create another 1.4 serial...

I have my date set back ~2 months, and the license file posted in the linked thread, using CF1.5, and things are working right now.

You set the expire date pretty tight again... Feb 1 2006!

That .lic file worked for me too. Thanks veetid. BTW, I lived with CF 1.5 for a day and was figuring I was going to have to live with it for a while. It only locked on me once, and that's when I accidently loaded the whole library as a playlist. Maybe this was trick to get us to actually try and use 1.5? I'm going to see if I can live with it and give you some more beta testing time.

I don't understand what the big deal about 1.5 is. I use it everyday without problems. Is it the speed thing that most people are having issues with?

My issue is not speed. Simply put, I cannot use iGuidance within 1.5
So, that means no Navi, and that means No, No.

I don't understand that either as I use iGuidance with 1.5 daily. Did you try to set the destinator plugin to a different comport than where your gps really is?

Here is a specific example:
I'm playing a song and I go over to the GPS plugin, I start driving. A mile or so down the road, I'm at a stop light and I want to try out the 3D view. So, I hit the menu button. It locks. The music still plays, the title bar still updates track time and new track titles when the current song ends, but I'm in this "grey-ed out" overlay mode as if dialog should be in the foreground. There is no dialog and no ammount of clicking on the screen changes my current situation. The map view does not update. The solution to get out of this mode is to reboot. (I suppose I could quit cetrafuse with task manager, but my only input to the carPC is the touchscreen and CF is fullscreened).

The reason this is frustrating is that I like 1.5 sooo much. I'm really addicted to the multi-playlist thing, I really like the GPS plugin, etc. In any case, I'm on a Via M10K, veetid knows about the issues, it'll be fixed.

Hmmz.. am i computer Freak and hate when things goes slowly..
The 1.5 rell is awsome but it seams not to be configured to run on ITX machines :/ i have a 1.3 Ghz C3 Processor and its relly relly slow on that one.

Maybe some tweaking should help some.

Im gonna stick with 1,4 as long as i can, untill the cpu usage is "fixed" in 1.5
