I am working closely with Destinator on a custom version of Destinator for Centrafuse... I will be offering 3 options for traffic... TMC, Internet, and XM feed... This is not D3 either... My SDK is based on Destinator 6 engine, which is OEM only and not public, currently... the TMC is already completly integrated for multiple receivers that are available... No need for using the SDK, etc... I will post info about the receivers once I get more information on them...

I will release more details once I have them... Lots of things still being sorted out... There are a couple of different internet options available and things are not 100% decided yet, but will be soon...

Hi,
in my opinion the best gps / tmc unit is sold from gns. The link to the - english site - is :
http://www.gns-gmbh.com/catalog/prod...roducts_id=121
Itīs not cheap, but it has sirf-3, bluetooth and TMC. GNS calls themself as the worldīs leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of handheld receivers for traffic information.

It has SIRF3 but last time I looked at GNS the TMC data will only work when in NMEA mode.

Some very correct and good information here...
I'm still looking for an integrated GPS/TMC OEM-Module to integrate into our product... That way we shouldn't bother about using racemier's tuner for TMC-data.
Once I have more info I'll post it here too.
@Maximus: the next time, you give me a key to that hotelroom so that I can go there while you are looking at cars

Does all of the advantage that comes with a SIRF3 chipset get lost when in NMEA-mode or only the update frequency?
The most interesting I thought was the improved sensitivity....

That´s the reason why i choosed Sirf-3. Don´t tell me i am wrong. But .. i think there is a notable differnece in Sirf-2 and Sirf-3 when using in sub-optimal conditions. (Forrest, Cloud, Heavy Rain)
