CF 1.5 running slow

Hi,

I know this problem has been well known from before
But Im just qurious.

Running a Via SP 13000, 512, onboard video.
And CF 1.5 running so slow. Recomended spec is 1Ghz but, its like sitting with a old 386 ...

Is there any light in near future or is this the way it is?
I realy like this frontend, will buy it if it works faster later.

Or is this problem just my system?
Please give me a answear.

Thanks
Daniel

The rest runs pretty good, nothing to hang up on.
Its big different between in windows and in CF.

Check the error.log file. Maybe something in there can indicate why its slow.
Have you tried re-installing centrafuse?

Running a Via SP 13000, 512, onboard video < I also tried using sp 13000, the graphics card is totaly ****. If you install powerdvd 6, and use it for the mpg decoding the hardware axx in the onboard card works making it run at 70% on dvd playback.

However Centralfuse dosent like the Cyberlink mpg codec, it locks up the PC (pc just freezes)

The only solution I can find is ither find an aletrative fast mpg codec that lets you enable hardware axx, or get a PCI graphics card.

I gave up the sp1300 and used a shuttle 3.2 gig instead.

Screw that.

Use this. www.videolan.org

Get the VLC player from there. I use a Via M10000. Xvid hdtv (480p) content runs clean.

Im using the M10000 board as well. Centrafuse isn't as fast as winamp. But its runs just fast enough for me to find it very usable.

Did you check the error.log file?

1.6 runs a lot better on the M10000's... I also have no problems with PowerDVD 6 with hardware acceleration enabled on my M10000, it plays back DVD's perfectly and also mpeg2 files...
