Wireless Connection Manager Plugin
I am well on my way to finishing a wireless connection manager plug-in for centrafuse however my UI design skills are lacking big time.
What I am looking for are some UI design ideas (actual pictures) for a wireless connection manager for centrafuse.
I'd like to keep the look of a native centrafuse app.
Buttons:
Refresh network list
Connect
Disconnect
Connection Info(IP Address, etc...)
Tabs:
Protected Networks
Unprotected Networks
All Networks
Listbox
Listing available SSIDs & Signal Strength (in %)
Also if you have ideas for more features etc... let me know.

Just a suggestion, but rather than working on a UI why not make it skinnable?

If you make it skinnable, the people who design skins will be able to match the rest of the program, and I'm sure once 1.6 is releases, someone could come up with a skin to match the default as well.

its going to be skinnable but i didnt want to 'ship' it with a poor quality skin but thats probably the best idea due to 1.6 coming out soon. Good point.
Any feature ideas/requests?
Currently all i have is some basic stuff...

If you want it to look like centrafuse and not a computer app...then dont use tabs...use buttons to switch to different screens that have the nessesary info on them...protected, unprotected, all....and dont use a listbox...use transparent labels...or picture boxes that are skinnable to match the listview centrafuse has...ie the track list in music...

And what the hell is that supposed to mean?
The guy said he wants a better interface design... give him ideas. Also if there are other features that people want. The thread that I linked (should be) is one where various Wireless Connection Managers were tested and discussed. Some of them would be good examples of interfaces and features. Also regarding features... reading the thread would give one an idea as to what people are looking for in that kind of software.

thanks for the info.
i'm still pluggin away at WMI. I am convinced it has bugs related to retrieving SSIDs.
I will get this thing done.. not because i am a nice guy, but because i want it for myself
