Song Select (Double Click)
Is this one of the top things to fix? I've moved back to StreetDeck at the moment cause I really cant be doing with double clicking things whilst down the motorway. I have other people in my car that I dont want to kill.

I use the arrows on the left... Click song, artist directory and click either the arrow or push play

according to me the play-pause button should act as pause button if you does NOT select another song in the playlist before.. I mean, 5 songs in playlist, I'm listening to the second. I want to listen the 4th so I click on it and click play-pause. in should not pause the curretly playing song but jump directly to the new selected song

This is how it always previously was until this version... The problem was lots of people have large playlists with hundreds of songs, or even just a few pages...
If you deselected your current playing song and paged down a few items, then decided you wanted to pause your music... You would have to scroll up/down to find the current playlist song, match it up based on title, highlight it, then hit pause... Way to confusing when people just needed to quickly pause their music...
I plan to make the media player list view single click anyway...

David,
I understand perfectly what you are saying. I've been wanting to suggest the following for quite a while, but didn't find the right opportunity... so here goes:
When scrolling up/down the list, would be better that you do NOT change the hilited song. You just show the new items down/up the list, but hilited song remains the same (the song that is currently being 'played').
If you do it this way, then that issue you described goes away. And I don't see any reason why you would need a song to be hilited while you scroll up/down. Is there something I am missing?

I plan for it to be single click anyway because there is no reason for it not to be on the media player, therefore it's a mute point now... if you click something, it will start playing it... and if you hit pause while it's highlighted, it will pause...

Makes sense. Agreed, moot point.
Also, good to know the single click is coming back, if at least only on the media player list. here's hoping you figure something out for the Media Manager lists / drilldowns...! thanks.

I think we have figured something out on the other screens for single click... We will make the top header a selection, so when you single click into an album, for example, the top header will be selected by default which shows you have the album highlighted... So the users knows they are dealing with the album until the select something else...
this gives visual feedback on previous selection and allows for single click to function... I plan to work on it in a few days and see how it works...

David: You are a genious. That really sounds like a great idea, and a very elegant solution to the problem!
