I'm having the same problem with FLAC - the genre, artist etc is being read for some files but most are just going under unknown artist - I cannot find a difference between the files that are read and those that are not. I assume something is not quite right when the database is built.

Like the application - handles flac and nice genre - artist - album heirachy.

All of my mp3 showed up correctly until today. I told it to rebuild my library because i added some music to my collection and now every single file comes up as "unknown artist - filename".

I have tried removing both 1d3 ver 1 and 2 independantly of each other. I compleetly removed them both and started from scratch with them. Everything i do gives me the same thing "Unknown Artist - File name" every single file.

I just dont get it they were all showing up correclty before and i did not change a thing about them, all did was click rebuild my library to add in my new music and then this whole **** storm happened!

HELP!!!

Check your error.log file and sent it over or post relevant part so I can see what happened...

Centrafuse 1.6 displays absolutely no tag info from any of my flac files. I tagged them using TagScanner (latest rev) and tried every variety of tag supported. I browse directly to the files using Music Paths, so it isn't an issue with library building. And there is no error.log to be found in my Centrafuse directory.

Well i figured out what my problem was. I was adding my new music to my computer when the pc was in the house so my usb sound card was not hooked up to the computer. Now i have no idea why this would make a difference but with out changing anything in the settings or with the id3 information as soon as i plugged in my sound card and then told it to rebuild my library it read all of the tag information perfectly.

David, is this a flaw is the software or did you mean for it to work that way. I just find it weird that if you dont have a sound card attached to the computer at the time of a library rebuild it cant read the tag information.
