Exclamation Its official, we NEED RW/FF

So I am in the car the other day and my friend is trying to FF a song, at which point they accidently skipped ahead 3 songs... their response, and I quote, "this thing sucks"

This is my final plea to ensure we get that functionality back... seems like no one wants it but me (and my car's passengers)

Perhaps is your touchscreen just kidding man, if you don't already I would set the cursor stabilization option quite high say 5 pixels or above. You will lose the pin point accuracy but you don't need that with big buttons. That might something to check.

I must say I have skipped ahead a couple of times, but thats because my finger has moved off the spot.

I do find the "hold down" time quite high, I seems to be around 1 second before the FF/RW kicks in. At a suggestion I think this should be lowered to around 0.3 - 0.5s. The delay time is that touch too long, you should only need to tap it the skip songs, any longer and it will FF/RW.

I however don't agree that the actual FF/RW buttons be brought back, sorry!

Or just add a slider and forget about ever using the ff/rw button again. It skips the music all to **** when you do it and I would rather just jump to a certain spot.

The slider seems to be the best compromise for the RW/FF buttons dilemma.

yeah much better than extra buttons that will never be used. I actually prefer the FF/REW embedded into the next and previous track, less buttons to hit while driving.

As i've said before, the slider is definately cool but that actual button you touch has to be of decent size, therefore the slider depicted in the screenshot would not suffice.

Anyone who suggests I modify my cursor settings... keep in mind this is intended to be a mainstream product which works out of the box. Your average joe(me included) doesnt even know a cursor stabalization setting even exists.

Heres my main issue... How do I FF/RW from my steering wheel remote?

My suggestion has be to use a POPUP window that will show a slider with a large usable button on it. I can't imagine having this huge button/slider taking up permanent space on the screen. I know the first thing I will do is remove it from the skin if we get to that
