1.7 will require a full reinstall, but it should auto uninstall 1.6 and remove old license information...

I will hopefully get the update feature working for the 1.7 download so when 1.8 comes out you can get the update that way, otherwise it will be in 1.8 for sure...

david, will 1.7 be dramatically different skin wise?.... I mean the xml's.....

I'm thinking at most there may be a section or two that's different, or will it be more than that? to do a whole new skin would it be best to just wait for 1.7 or will there just be some minor modifications necissary?

It's not going to be much different... A few buttons removed and resized... A new section for the video overlay when in fullscreen... Possibly a few other minor changes, but nothing major...

I plan too.... You will notice your TV cards most likely work with the CAM plugin, which uses WDM... If you click the title header of the CAM plugin you will get a dialog with options to change WDM source, etc...

Still trying to access this programmatically...

The WinTV SDK was terrible pretty much and very limited...

It's not just a problem with iGuidance. I have been able to reproduce the 'click lose focus' bug even with Notepad. Seems like it affects embedded apps in general.

I cant live without iGuidance in my carpc, so unfortunately I find myself again with a CF update that I'd just really love to try out, yet cannot afford to. Will wait to see how 1.8 shapes up.

I didn't avoid answering... I have answered multiple times in other places... Their are XM bugs I am working on.... Also I can reproduce and I'm fixing the external application problem... It's not an IG problem, but a embedded application focus issue...

both I responded to in the bug threads...

I'm working on both of them....

1.7 will be using the new Destinator engine and has an improved user interface... I will have the history working as well...

I plan to add the ability to import custom POI locations, speedcams, and the trip planner by 1.8....

David, is there any chance of seeing some changes to the media-manager as we discussed forever ago before 2.0, or is the current structure set-in-stone?

I realize some of the more advanced things (re-sorting the now-playing list, jumping to the next artist or genre within the now-playing-list, etc.) might seem a bit to complicated for your target audience, but I would at least like the ability to browse by any ID3 tag order I choose.

I do not have any complete albums. I have no clue which album any song is on. Therefore when ever I want to hear a song by an artist, I have to click in to each of the albums one at a time and then back out and try a different one until I find the song I was looking for. This is very frustrating. I need the ability to browse by Artist/Title instead of Artist/Album/Track#. Same goes for Genre/Artist/Title as well. This should be easy to configure based on any ID3 tag so I could do Decade/Artist/Length if I wanted to.

I will look into it...

It's all stored procedures, if that's what they call them in Access... If you open main.dat you can change the return for each section by modifying the queries...

I will look into making this configurable, or maybe modifying it to allow you to not have to sort by artist/album...
