NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT 1.6, but any estimates on 1.7 release?
Hi David,
I hate to ask this, and BELIVE ME I AM NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT 1.6 IN THE LEAST, but I am curious if you have any ETA for the next release, and what bugs may be addressed in it?

All reported bugs will be addressed in 1.7 as well as GUI updates based on some suggestions and small improvements we made on our end...
We also improved the setup process and further simplified the settings section...
I plan to have 1.7 and then 1.8 both released before the end of April... So I will hopefully have 1.7 out within a couple of weeks, then another weeks worth of testing, then 1.8 before end of April... This should be getting close to getting all the bugs worked out of the current feature set...
I might pull the TV plugin until later when a more generic TV plugin can be created... Currently it's using a WinTV SDK, which is not very good and very limiting in design...
david

Well, I'm exremmly happy with 1.6, when 1.7/8 come out will there be a way to import mp3 files from one to the other or will you have to manually import them?

will the 1.7+ upgrades require a full re-install, or will the "update" from within centrafuse work for this?

I only depend on my front end for media.... mp3's & video's.... so to me centrafuse is perfect.... no other front end handles media like centrafuse....
david, will 1.7 be dramatically different skin wise?.... I mean the xml's.....
I'm thinking at most there may be a section or two that's different, or will it be more than that? to do a whole new skin would it be best to just wait for 1.7 or will there just be some minor modifications necissary?

Nothing is holding me back from using CF now. But the Destinator plugin needs a lot of work.
GPS is off by a few hundred meters after using visualisations. Needs reeboot.
GPS is not reconnected after a connection loss. Needs reeboot.
History does not work.
Poi's cant be imported.
No speedcam support.
OSK is way too big, I cant't see the list.
OSK is missing buttons for international chars. (have to use alts).
I could have used FreeDrive, but CF just takes focus whenever I try entering something.

For the TV plugin, when that time comes, why not go the WDM/BDA route like most PVR software? Most Analogue(WDM) and Digital(BDA) TV tuners have support for it.
The Winamp TV plugin also uses WDM/BDA and it works great with my new dual tuner. http://tven.terratec.net/modules.php...rticle&sid=236
