Is this possible?

Ok, here's my dilemna, I run CF as my shell, but i'm still in the testing phases with my carputer, plus this would be a good option regardless. Is there a way to create an alternate exit procedure, like in the right side menu that would when pressed, unload CF just like if you had the normal button set to do it, but then also load explorer so you have the regular windows interface?

NOTE: I have seen solutions to this on the site, but I don't want CF and explorer as a shell running at the same time, my comp doesn't really have the resources for that. Also, I COULD do the log off and on as a new user idea, but how would I implement that and also keep the current functionality of the main page exit button? Also, I can't do the Run-->explorer.exe method b/c I don't use a keyboard.

So savants of CF...what do you think are my options?

I use to have exit run explorer.exe when you exited Centrafuse and using run as shell...

but this just opened a file explorer window and not the explorer shell...

I will look into it, unless someone else already knows...

I know there is some vague way to run property windows and stuff like if you go to the run command and type control/userpasswords2 (or something like that), it would bring you to part of the management of user accts. Now I wonder if you could access the "run new task.." from the task manager like this, if so, I know if you put explorer.exe into this it will spawn explorer as the shell...at least in my experience it will, now I don't know if that is only b/c explorer was the default shell or not...but who knows. I have a .reg file to reset explorer to the default shell...but that really wouldn't do any good either.

yes if the value in the registrey set to something other than explorer.exe it will lunch the file explorer window.

if you want it to work correctly you need four setps
1- reset shell path (set it to explorer.exe again)
2- lunch exeplorer.exe
3- set it again to centrafuse.exe
4- exit Centrafuse

i hope it work with you
regards

So if in the registry the shell is set as CF, no matter where you run explorer.exe from, it would only come up as a regular windows explorer window? F-in weak...ixnay on that idea I guess..

Bis is right... I sugested this before David. This would be an awesome feature. Please include this in 1.7.

...also please make an option to minimize CF instead of exiting it and have that do the same thing if CF is the shell and explorer.exe is not already running.

...oh, and if an explorer window is running embedded in CF, please close that before checking to see if explorer.exe is already running.
