Angry The nerve!

"We actually have good contacts at XM and Apple, I spoke with one of the Directors at XM yesterday...

The expiring licenses are used to test the licensing system. Not sure what you mean about talking about our designer, but we do have multiple employees that work for Flux.

This whole thread is a waiste of time and is being closed. If another is opened, it will also be closed. If some of my posts upset you, then don't read them.

later,
david"

Check out this guy's tone!! Who the hell do you think you are to treat us like that ? I'm willing to bet only a handful of people are going to buy your crap when it does get released(next year.. or two.. etc). And you know why ? Because of the way you present yourself. Don't forget who reads this board! About 99% of your potential customers !!!

I hope it gets hacked just like PhoneControl... zorro had about the same ****ty attitude towards his users. He definitely had it coming!!

Just to add a little fuel to the fire.
With Phoco, there is not much alternative, that is why people looking for hack.
With CF, there are LEGALLY FREE alternative, they don't need to look for hack. FrodoPlayer seem to be dead, but RoadRunner is running strong, and so are few others like Mobile Impact, Media Engine ....
As a developer, I do get how it feel when people talking **** about your app, but those are thing that people don't like the way it is. When they don't like it, they aren't gona use it. Let a lone buying it.
Anyway, if you can deliver, don't promise whether it's as free loader or paying customer. Since CF is a commercial potential, it's very critical to keep people using it during beta.
I am for an example. Because CF 1.6 can't run embeded apps, I didn't use it at all, although I didn't uninstall it yet.

Well, maybe you should put things back into their context and present the whole thread before commenting... not David’s fault if some moron who didn’t pay anything thinks that it is easy to code and can do a better job…and yes, I will be part of the "handful of people buying this software"... so far I did not have to pay anything and this is still the best software around... so you guys should stop *****ing about the delay and let him do his work…

dude, maybe you should read the original thread in context. david's above comments were directed towards me, so im guessing im the "moron who didn’t pay anything / thinks that it is easy to code and can do a better job." (never claimed anything remotely close to this)

Further, my comments were presented in alot more respectful and useful way than "stop *****in" or whatever.

Dawn, you guys.

SHUT UP!!

Is a little respect to much to ask.
If you don't like the software don't flame everywhere.
Don't you have anything else to do ? Spent your freetime somewhere else !

Hey guys,
I haven't been following the drama that closely, but I'm curious as to why so many people think that David owes them something.

I understand your frustration, but I'd never wish hax upon someone. I was amazed with Centrafuse's ease of use and almost perfect stock skin. Upon initial use, I liked it way more than Road Runner and some of the other well-established front ends.

Yet, the license issues kept frustrating me. Not only that, each new release voided out any previously made skins. And to add, the time bomb feature of older versions made it impossible to use any of the previous versions of the software that were seemingly stable.

At the same time, I understand David's frustrations. Not only does he have pressure from us, it seems like he's working with other businesses to market his product. If you think back, I don't remember a release that didn't have a major issue. Each new release we all ride his *** about something. Wouldn't you get sick of it after a while?

So, with that said, I'm pretty sure that everyone facing these issues with the Beta tests have gone the route of Road Runner, now that the Road Runner skins have far exceeded anyones wildest expectations.

Besides the underlying functionality, it's true that the skin makes the front end. Take for instance Frodoplayer. Before the Brightlife skin came out, FP wasn't that popular. The look and feel of a front end are the difference between choosing to use it or choosing not to.

I really loved Centrafuse's stock skin. I can't wait until the official release of Centrafuse is out. You can be sure I'll be one to buy it, just to support his hard work. Until then, it's Road Runner all the way.

Hacks: Now I'm sure every little script kiddy is out there trying to find a way to crack/hack Centrafuse. Just face it, it's not going to happen. It seems that people are really ****ed that Centrafuse is a program that's not hacked out and cracked out all over the pirate websites across the net. If you're that set on using Centrafuse, just make a knock off skin for another front end until CF evolves enough for purchase.

Just be grateful that David shares a little piece of his hard work with us. Otherwise it'd be called a different front end - A.I.M.E.E.

Note: Nothing against the newest wave of front ends. Love Mobile Impact and the others. Just waiting for them to evolve a bit!

There has never been a release of AIMEE, so there is no 'want' for it, from anyone, to get it finished. No one has tired the app, so on one can complain about not getting a finished product or not having the ability of being able to use it. Nor has a release date EVER been stated for AIMEE, therefore no one can complain about it not being release. So I can't see how the hell your comparing CF situations with AIMEE??

Read the first sentence of my text you quoted. I was implying that we should be happy we are even able to test out Centrafuse. If David didn't even give us a taste, it would be an AIMEE situation.

(For those that don't know about AIMEE - it's a vaporware front end that's been under development for years. Every time someone *****es about something bad/bug in another front end - the AIMEE developers post how their software does that feature, and more. Yet, no one has ever seen anything produced from all the talking...)

Basic idea: just be happy with what you've been given. If you want more, you'll have to be patient. Like a buncha damn kids around Christmas time...

I agree. I've found a work around to the issues - another front end. Personally, it was the constant license expirations. We'll see if there's anyone left once the new release comes out.

I've been happily using RR for a long time now. Guino is great! His support is great! I'd be happy to pay him for a good running application. Personally, I just stole CF's skin and ported it to RR. I'd like to use CF with it, but.... I dont want to give up IGuidance just for a pretty skin

i dont know if anyone else has noticed... but to me it seems there is this kind of situation that when people critisize something about centrafuse theres always these few 20+ post loyals who start flaming the critisizer however subtle the critic was... then usually guys with 200+ post are those who are fed up of some aspect or another of centrafuse... i dont know mayby im wrong... but this seems to me that centrafuse has a problem of keeping its established clientele, while it appeals very much to new users. I just wanted to point out this observation... hopefully it helps david to stear centrafuse to right direction.

If you are so happy with RR why whine at CF? 1.6 is not all that it could be, but still even thoug you stole the skin, you prefer CF... That says a lot.

Let Flux develop this thing right. I dont want another buggy release like 1.6, and I definately dont want to wait as long as I have to get those bugs fixed. But the software is still in development and a Beta is usually quite buggy. But it does show how great something can become. I put up with all the bugs of 1.6 and use it anyway. RR cant compare for me even if I cant embed FreeDrive in CF wich I prefer.
