I can't wait any longer...
David,
Just like everyone, I'm very excited with the notice that a new release is comming along (very soon I hope)
But one of my issues is that currently 1.6 does not recognize some TV cards.
I bought a new card thinking the chipset was BT878, but unfortunately it wasn't and I can't use the TV yet.
Is it possible to send us just the updated TV plugin until 1.7 comes? Please...
Or at least, is there a date for this release in mind (being realistic) ?
Thanks.

from what I understand there is a dll from Destinator that he is waiting for. Once he gets that it should be a quick fix for him and 1.7 will be done. I think we're hoping for the end of the week.

hmm.. well, you're right but fortunately my new card (Quick TV Detonator - Philips chipset) has a slightly better signal reception (for radio and tv) than the previous card, but not so good as expected yet. So I've bought a amplified car film antenna and installed in the rear window.
When I tested, it showed no difference. Since I tested just one time and de-installed all equipment from the car, I assume the antenna installation was not correct. (The thin film is very sensitive and can be easily broken, so be careful if you get one)

I think you should be patient because honestly from by the looks of the bug list...it's very short which means 1.7 will be out very shortly. Why say you "can't" wait...because you can. It's not like you NEED this software for your vehicle. This is all a "want" for all of us and it's all free as of right now. Patience!

Ok, it's just a kind of expression...
I live in Brazil and here is common to use expressions like these, but in fact I'm very inpatient for this release because it was announced since April, but as a programmer, I know that in this area the thinks usually are much more difficult than it seems to be.
What a pitty!
Anyway, I must congratulate David for his good job.

I don't think he was saying it as an "insult", it's meant as:
"Wow, I can't wait to go to the candy store!"
So, "Wow, I can't wait for CF 1.7! This is gonna be soo cool!"

Announced in April... it's the end of June.. and still no release date available. I can only begin to wonder what the support will be like, if someone does decide to buy this product.

You don't like it, don't use it. An estimate of release is just that. rAdmin 3.0 has been promised for somewhere between 2-3 years and is just now coming out in beta.
Plus, if you actually read through some of the posts, you'd know that David has been waiting on 3rd party developers to get this product put out. He opted to take care of a lot of stuff per release instead of trying to do a few little things and putting out a lot of little releases, which I can understand.
Also, look at Microsoft. How long have we been promised Vista? Right.
Your signature says you use RR anyway.

i agree. and i'm sure that support will be there, i think dave has been very supportive with his software so far...and i have yet to give him a dime! So what if the release dates are off. i'd rather install a less buggy version then something i'm going to have to constantly tweak or get upset with.

Too true. I love Centrafuse. The few problems I've had I believe have already been addressed in 1.7. That's why I'm getting so antsy about it's release!
