Out of curiosity, does this version have an expiration date?

I thought I remembered hearing that he wasn't planning on it a while back, but I don't remember for certain.

Arrow Loss of GPS

just noticed that 1.7 stops D3 based GPS from working.

Which makes GPS useless unless you have D6 maps of your region !

Just reinstall D3 overit, and use mapmonkey, or freedrive embedded.

works fine for me! only problem, the nav plugin will not work anymore....

Is that what would be causing this problem

along with a similar problem others in this thead seem to be having?

So it seems, only my city isn't there Had to select the nearest. Shame, Accuweather would've been more accurate. Is there any way for adding additional cities - for example the "home" city and the destination city.

go to weather.com and find your city on there to make sure it exists.

This is where the info comes from so if it works on the web, it should work in CF.

Sounds like these are Destinator PN maps and you need either Destinator 6 / 2006, or Destinator ND maps. I've got Destinator 2006 EU for my PDA which comes with Q1,2006 Maps and these work fine

I'm getting a little confused myself now as to what all these different versions of Dest are, I think D6 is D2006

Be warned though, that CF1.7 RC1 WILL stop programs like Freedrive, GaroNav & Map monkey from functioning as the Dest.dll files are different and will not co-exits on the same PC, and if you re-register the DLL file with regsrv32 it stops CF1.7's nav from working.

@David,
I notice that TMC options are included in the .ini files, is this working... Also what about speed cams, will it warn about those...

Is there some secret way of accessing the D6 menu now the Nav Menu button has gone, there appears to be no way to change some settings without getting hands dirty in .inf files.

Just got finished up with my new install so will hopefully get it back in the car tonight for some proper on the road test

Found some minor problems with external apps section not creating the XML files properly and it stops buttons displaying, managed to fix problem manually though by editting them in notepad and checking format with IE

John

Hey all i was wondering if is this a bug or just the way is suppose to be when you are watching video clips and you go to full screen and in full screen if you press >> it fast forwards the song is there any possible way when you press >> to skip to next song like it does when you not in full screen.

I have thought about this... I do like the idea of skipping within the movie as well...

I might just make it skip and next track, but not sure...

I will think about it...

Yeah, now I am used to be able to next track and fast forward with the same button. I would have thought you would have kept it the same in full screen.
