When will the final release be available?

When will everything be ready. I'd really like to start using the GPS, but I don't live in NY or Berlin, so the GPS is useless at this time..

uhh, i think u need to read up a bit more about the program, u can use other programs in it for gps :/

im pretty sure there are a LOT of people that use centrafuse, and dont use destinator, or at least have different map sets for it

The destinator is a really good program from what i've seen so far. I have Streets and trips 06, but i don't like the interface.

I think if you like CF that much, you should move to NY or Berlin.... not that big a deal, really.

I think this is a silly question to ask given what happened when a 1.7 release date was announced.

The final release will be available when people stop reporting bugs in the release candidates.

The maps is a valid point though. I would like to purchase the maps now to get the official ones so that I can use destinator properly. If you just sell the maps (ie I have to pay some more when CF is released) then that should be fine. If I don't buy CF I still have legit licenced maps to use with MapMonkey or whatever.

I don't know what the Destinator people will say about that though

They are always going to have some sort of bug somewhere because everyone is running something different. I don't really care about paying for a program as long as it works and I don't have to do a whole lot to keep it working. I know there are lots of free front ends out there, but I don't feel like "tweeking" or adding stuff. It might be a dumb question to ask about when it's going to be released, but if you don't ask, you'll never know. All I was looking for was a general answer...a month, a year, two years... whatever!! Just a guess from someone, not a lot of comments about how dumb a question it was...

I am interested in NOT hearing a figure. Deadlines are never met based on experience. Hence, I am unsuscribing from this thread so I don't get my hopes up once a date is thrown out there!
