RC2 touchscreen problem

I was using RC1 with no problems.

Rc2 became available and I just had to try it out. I uninstalled RC1, rebooted my carpc and installed RC2. I performed the initial setup and imported my music. I was playing some songs for about 5 minutes and I tapped the <next> key on the media screen. I heard what sounded like a double click and CF acted like I held my finger on the button. I tapped again and it stopped. This happened intermittently for a couple more minutes then got worse. All of the buttons on the lower end of the screen were acting up. The volume started going back and forth from MIN to MAX like I was messing with the buttons. All of the sudden the song was starting and pausing really quick. Also, it sounded like more than 1 song was playing.

The only way for me to stop it was to close CF. I tried reloading CF, even tried downloading a new copy... But ended up the same way. Tonight I started CF and I received the original configuration screens... My settings were still there (800X600, etc.) but they were not working. After the setup again CF acted like I never did anything. It also acted like I had no songs...?

I was convinced that the touch screen was bad... so I was running RR an the way home with no problems. This rules out the touch screen since the buttons are in pretty much the same places.

Something is really wonky with this thing.

Has anyone else seen this?

Tony

Check the bug thread. It's a known issue.
