Any word on a minimize mode/button?

They have posted a list of status for everything: what has been done, what is being done, etc. I did not see that there, so I have to assume not. Did you look there?

It would be possible to make an autoIT script, and attach that to a button on the main page. Problem is, I don't think CF likes to embed 'non windowed' apps, such as a script.... I know of a workaround though.

The only agreeable solution I've found to get out of CF without closing it was to map a button on my remote control to the "windows start menu" key so I can open the start menu and other programs and leave CF in the background.

My solution to this will be to finally add the ability to add non-GUI external applications, then a user can easily create there own minimize button and place it anywhere...

This feature I'm sure can be used by others for other things...

I have no plans to add a button for it into the main skin because our main goal is to hide windows, and most distributors selling this hardware want to make sure to hide windows so the users cannot damage anything.

I know nothinig about your app, or the code behind it, but all the time I have been thinking this was a simple matter of changing a few lines of code so that the whole 'window embedding' piece was ignored.

Then when I did not see this feature ever implemented or considered, I figured this was a bigger deal.

Im so happy you are at least considering it now. Do you have any idea how extremely powerful you are about to make CF for us power users? This is going to be great!

Shouldn't be that hard I just finally needed a good example to show me how it could be used...

I might even be able to throw it into RC2.1...

I could not find this feature in your list. The closest one I found was:

That is just worded wrong... It will be for embedded apps, not plugins... Plugins already support non-GUI mode...
