Invalid license on XLE RC2
I've downloaded the latest version on the website, installed it on a clean install and used the license key on the site but it exits with an invalid license alert. I tried numerous times reinstalling, erasing the centrafuse folder and still no go. Any idea how I can fix this?

That's odd... anyone else have this problem? I cannot reproduce anything like this... This generally is caused by an old install, which will not be a problem going forward with all the RC releases....

Are you absolutely sure you are using the corresponding RC2 license file?

Ok, I just tried the code in another PC, and it worked. So what's wrong with my real carputer setup that isn't getting uninstalled? Where else in the system does centrafuse install anything other than the Flux Media folder in Program files?
The very first time I installed Centrafuse in the carputer last night, centrafuse worked but when I tried to enter the code, it started giving an invalid license alert and it never worked again even after reinstalls.

License file? I only have the serial number. Where can I get the license file?

I'm sorry, I meant to make sure you were using the correct license number, for that version

Yeah, I even downloaded the installation file again and copy-pasted the code off the website to make sure. I tried it on another PC and it worked so it has to be the PC like I said in my post above. So what can be wrong?

I'm sorry, probably only David can help you with this one. No one else really knows how the serial number validation scheme works, and I suspects your computer thinks the SN is not valid for some reason.
Did you attempt to change the computer's date at some point? It is a known issue with CF, where if you change the date for any reason, it will crap out on you and never work again OK, I'm exaggerating, but it pretty much will refuse to work unless you clean up your system by doing the rain dance...

Oh no, I think I did update my time in the middle of things.
Anyway, thanks for trying to help. I'll try to fix this still, I'll post it here if I get anywhere.

That would do it... I think it brings people more headaches than Flux would ever want!

Fixed it, by reformatting Windows I think I exhausted everything, even removed every flux and centrafuse entries in regedit but still no go so I just reformatted.

It is a hassle I know, but it was in place for testing of the trial that will be available and this is a common thing to put in place for trials, not allow someone to simply change their date and keep using the product...
the problem is with the current license model, my Beta limits get treated the same way, which I don't want them too... I will look into this...

I understand the rationale... however, there are many legitimate reasons why someone would need to change the time/date on a PC. I would suggest that you make your code a little more forgiving if possible?
I think you're saying that with the regular CF release it will not be a problem, so it might be a moot point.
If I buy CF, and one day I'm driving and notice the date is wrong, I will go ahead and use the nifty Date control panel you included (click top right) and correct the date. If after doing that, CF no longer runs, I will be a very unhappy customer!!!!!!!!!

None of these limitations will be in the final version, you will be able to change the date all day long...
The problem here is basically this... My current license model gets confused sometimes because it's a limit within a limit... I have a 30 day trial, that once you enter a serial number unlocks a Beta Trial (it just does not have a dialog)...
There will be no limits with the final version, don't worry about that...
