Centrafuse & IG3 sound

I have been lurking on this site for over a year now and a few months ago decided to build a carpc into my 05 TSX. I really like centrafuse as a front end and am looking forward to the final product. The colors chosen match perfectly with the cars interior. I am however have an issue that is quite annoying, first the relevant specs to my issue.

Optiplex GX260, 2.0 Ghz with 512MB ram
Car2PC adapter to intigrate sound into the factory sound system
WinXP Pro
Centrafuse RC2
IG3 CFIG plugin

When playing music and having IG3 opened there is a hitch in the music being played. This seems to be happening when the map is refreshing but does not happen all the time. Is anyone else having this problem? I'm going to be doing further troubleshooting tonight to determine if the problem is in centrafuse or with IG3 however I would like to first determine if this is a common problem.

Well, it might be your computer. What kind of CPU are you running Celeron, Pentium 4? If you are running a Celeron, it might be the CPU that is bottle-necking the system and causing the problems. Just a thought.

I don't think it would be the processor bottleneck. It's a P4 and generally runs at around 7% CPU usage and 180MB Page File usage. I had the same issue with my previous pc a P3 600Mhz, the upgrade to the faster pc made no improvement. I had thought that maybe with IG3 accessing the mapdata on the drive while CF was reading audio files could cause the glitch but I also tried reading the audio from a thumbdrive with no improvement.

glitch as in some sort of stutter? i had a problem like this when i was using ig3 w/ skinbedder.. I reformated, and just used the hacked ig3.exe and the problem went away. It only happened when i was viewing the map also..

yes it is like the music stutters for a split second. On my way home tonight i tried running IG3umpc and windows media player on the windows desktop and the sound was perfect. It seems to be only happening in Centrafuse. I am running the igcf plugin with the ignexus skin although the stutter is still present with the original ig3 program. Also I am running UMPC in all cases. I will try the regular ig3 but I doubt there will be any difference.

I know its a bit off topic but i have the same issue with Destinator 6 Voices and CF, when it issues a voice prompt it stutters even thought the music is paused. Maybe it is something to do with how CF handles music.
