Voice in RC3

Did anyone did a fresh install of windows and test voice with RC3?

I am curious if it worked for anyone. I included all the files for voice in this release instead of making people install SAPI SDK on their own, but wanted to make sure I included everything...

Someone reported it did not work for them...

Did it work for everyone else?

david

Hi,
I tried last night but it didn't work well. It couldn't even recognize me when I said "Computer".
It was on VirtualPC, nLited XP (everything else works well), and I have made voice recognition training. Have I missed anything? Tonight I will try to go through additional steps in training and post back.

Oh, and I didn't install SDK.

Voice recognition is not working for me either, but I believe it is because I had a regular mic input type microphone. I read somewhere that a USB or bluetooth is needed, right?

Switched to USB microphone and voice recognition works well now.

Was wondering though, can we make customized voice commands? ... cuz it won't let me add or delete commands.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but just to confirm

a) I dont need to install SAPI in the current version of CF?

b) I have to use a bluetooth microphone, a regular one wont work?

you do need to install SAPI still, a link is on the downloads page...

You can use any microphone that works with SAPI and Speech in Control Panel... If you use a microphone that plugs into your soundcard you will lose voice control when in Radio/XM if you are using buffering... A USB microphone or Bluetooth will resolve this...
