Centrafuse Trial just expired...
My Centrafuse just expired, and it asked me to download the new version from the website, which I did. RC4.2
But after installing it still says it's not the new version, and has stopped working. what should I do?

I think you must register on http://www.fluxmedia.net/ and obtain a registration code

Same error here, got the 4.2 and I am registered at fluxmedia.net and did fill in the registration code. It just says this beta has expired and goes in to beta mode (22 days remaining, the previous 8 it did work without the beta screen).

shouldn't have happened, not sure... I clearly have the date set for january...
it was the exact day, but a month wrong... It was set to expire on 01/02/07, but instead it did it on 12/02/06 it looks like...
trying to wrap up a quick version of RC4.3, which I will extend it all the way to 04/01/07...
If I can't wrap it up I will post an LIC file...
sorry, no idea why this happened...

did you manually delete the Flux Media folder after you uninstalled RC4.2? If not you would still get this... I have fixed this in RC4.3, it does a complete uninstall...
Uninstall all versions of Centrafuse, make sure there is no Flux Media folder in Program Files, and then trying re-installing and entering your serial number...

I've had similar issues if the BIOS date/time clock gets messed up. Make sure your system has the correct date.

I love CF, and David has done a fantastic job. I will however state that I think the copy protection scheme really stinks.
I know David has mentioned that this is a Demo protection on top of the regular protection -- but all I can say is that if any of this occurs in the final paid version (i,e, I get locked out because my date changed or BIOS messed up or whatever) I would be upset beyond recognition
David, make sure you get this straightened up for final version. Make it more lax if necessary, you don't want to end up upsetting your true honest hard cash paying customers, and I think that is where your copy protection scheme is headed!

Same problem here.
Just installed latest version and entered the new serial.
It's still asking to register...
I did a uninstall and deleted every remaining file except for my playlists (gues that has nothing to do with it...)

I'm not sure, that should work for you... there have not been any reports of the serial being messed up with a proper uninstall with RC4.4
As for the license scheme... It will be lax... This is issues in the licensing code causing problems... It was not designed for holding two trials, a 30 day trial to unlock another Beta trial...
In the final once you enter the serial there is NO TRIAL whats so ever... you can change out and whatever you want to your machine, it will be un-locked...
We do not have current plans to use activation...

on a similiar note, i am having some registration issues.
i think the version in my car is still rc4.0. the license just expired, and since i had cf running as shell it pops up only with the registration screen.
i thave tried hitting the try button but it doesnt work
when i cntrl alt dlt it, it does not load up everything properly in windows. all i have is a desktop, cant get the taskbar to come up by pressing the start button on the keyboard or anything. right now i cant get into windows at all. tried safe mode and the same thing happened.
any suggestions?

after you kill Centrafuse, hit ctrl-alt-del again and get your task manager... click File/New Task and enter explorer.exe
Then your desktop will come back... Then simply uninstall RC4.X from your machine and then MAKE SURE to manually delete the Centrafuse folder...
copy over the new RC4.4 MSI and install it, reboot, should be good to go...
