oziexplorer maps for offroad use

I go offroad in Australia often and I use oziexplorer maps, I have just ordered a VMS HP300PC(to replace laptop) loaded with the new version of Centrafuse, can I use these maps and if so how do I do it (not good on computers) also cannot get my Garmin GPS60 to work with trial version.

No, you can't load the OziExplorer maps in CentraFuse.
And you need to configure the Garmin unit to output NMEA.

Thanks for reply, but why does VMS in australia in their catalouge list as recommended accessories "oziexplorer + Hema maps for offroad navigation" with a car pc that is loaded with centrafuse.

That, I don't know. For the correct answer, you should contact VMS. I can, however, speculate.
Chances are they simply launch OziExplorer from Centrafuse.

you can use CF & Ozi, but not at the same time. The GPS only has 1 com port. You can download GPSGATE and that will allow you to run both programs at the same time.

Oziexplorer has nothing to do with Centrafuse. Its another GPS program allowing to view raster maping. We did say that you can use Centrafsue to load ozi explorer maps. We just say that we recommend using Ozi for off road navigation.

Will it not embedd? Does it have a window title?

You can also use XPort3 built right on these forums for splitting the COM port...

I would love a screenshot if it embeds...

It's a great program, once I have the time have bugs and manuals to write, I will look into seeing if they have and SDK for offroad use...

What areas do they all cover?

david
