this was an issue with 1.13 and the DB getting corrupt, but it should be fixed in 1.14...

reinstall and see if it happens again...

I will try to reproduce...

xp pro sp2 (not lite or stripped down)

ran into another weird issue, i uninstalled all of the plugins and then uninstalled cf, I received no error messages in doing so, then deleted out the flux directory and rebooted. After it came back up i reinstalled cf ok but now i am getting this error when installing any plugins

nevermind that last bit, i was able to get past it by undoing the installation and restarting it. they are all in now.

David, are you absolutely sure the WEATHER data is being updated behind the scenes whenever a valid Internet connection is detected?

I am noticing that this is still not working (it only used to work in a past version, RC4 maybe?)

I really would love this feature back. Surely, you agree that having the weather plugin update with new data whenever it ca would be a good thing, no? I currently have to switch to the weather screen and only then does it update.

If I drive off my garage before going through the weather screen, then I leave home without any updated weather data It's what happens most of the time.

Can we please please have this feature back?

I previously posted up here that the updater from 1.13 didn't work. I got it to work yesterday, and I think I know what I did at 1.13 to make it fail...

After answering the prompt for "Update available, do you wanna?", CF posts a dialog box with an "OK" on it to say "downloading update". If you click that OK button, it looks like it terminates the download early and the unpacking will fail.

This was the difference between when I tried it the other times and finally yesterday. Yesterday I got distracted by something else and did NOT click the OK button. That's when the update worked.

Yet another CD count issue...

I loaded a DVD with MP3s on it (~1000 songs).

It loaded up fine and started playing. CD count became 1. Now I am not sure when it happened, but without going back to the HDD media playlists, the CD count jumped to 2. The computer went in and out of hibernate a few times before it did this. When it changed to a count of 2, I tried to eject both counts, the CD came out and decreased from 2 to 1 but wouldnt go down further. I ignored it and put the CD back in and the count went back up to 2.

Here is the weird part... Now, at 8:00pm, the "updating" screen popped up to change the skin. Once the new night skin was loaded, the CD count dropped to the correct value of 1.

Strange...

GPS not recieving any data?...

This latest release is the only one I've had trouble with getting gps data. I'm using a haicom reciever, and the test prog that comes with the gps shows that there's gps data coming on com3. I've checked and doublechecked my port and baud settings. But still the destinator doesn't get any data (yes I did close the test prog before starting centrafuse.. so there's no other prog using the com port). I'm not using any gps port splitter sw.

I haven't activated centrafuse (haven't had a internet connection on my carputer yet).. is this required before destinator starts using the gps signal?, or do you have any other pointers?

[edit]
Centrafuse is not displaying any error messages or statuses that indicates any problems communicating with the gps

Best regards

Is there a file called ERROR.LOG in the CF home directory?

I added some code to try and fix some of the users GPS issues... I will remove this code and go back to previous code, it did not fix the issue and appears to have caused more...

Use Pre as Master does NOT Work.

Hardware: Auztech X-Meridian 7.1 (C-Media Chipset)

When enabled/disabled it ALWAYS adjusts the master volume. The WAVE volume is never touched.

Scratch that.. Had to enable "use Front as Master". Not sure if thats the norm but it worked.

NiSlo is an unknown quantity at this point
I noticed last night when I was changing options (fonet size) in settings > navigation, the volume of the music playing at the time would be changed, always back to the same level (3 bars on the volume graph, not using logarythimic volume). I tried changing settings in the general area and the volume was unaffected.
