Centrafuse 1.14 Bugs - Page 3

WOW all i can really say is great work david. I will be honest though. Since I have had RR i have been pretty happy with it. I stopped testing centrafuse a little while back and I found it to be unresponsive on my system. It kept freezing up (this was a while ago). But today I decided i was goign to install Centrafuse again in the carPC. And it is SOOOO much better. Seriously what a drastic improvement. I feel that it runs sooo much better then before. I am stil testing it out and I really am enjoying it.

But I have some minor issues.

-When I add iGuidance as an application, it worked fine but for some reason it assigned iguidance to every BLANK button. I had to remove iguidance from the buttons and just leave it on one.

-Finally I am trying to test destinator with the NY maps. I have a sirfIII GPS receiver and it cant lock on to any SATS. I have the com set correctly. I have tried switching from SIRF to NMEA and also tried changing the BAUD but it still doesnt work. Also, just out of curiosity, in the NY map is it the entire map? Because it cant even find my zip code, my GF zip code nor our STREETS... No big deal cuz I am still using iGuidance....

the sample map of New York is not the full map...

There was a GPS issue in 1.14 that has been fixed...

I am looking into your issue with the blank buttons, was this with a standard external application? After you added it from Settings?

It happened when i added iguidance 3.0. And it basically put iguidance in all of the buttons that were empty. I haven't tried adding annother application.

I cannot reproduce this just adding an external application... could you give me steps to reproduce this issue with adding to all blank buttons?

Its a corrupt XML file I reckon

Mine did this first time I added an External app.

Just open the buttons.xml file and the errors will most likely be obvious

This latest release is the only one I've had trouble with getting gps data. I'm using a haicom reciever, and the test prog that comes with the gps shows that there's gps data coming on com3. I've checked and doublechecked my port and baud settings. Centrafuse is not displaying any error messages or statuses that indicates any problems communicating with the gps

Has the gps issue been fixed?.. is there an updated version I can use... so I can test the gps features before I buy?

If your GPS worked in 1.13 then the issue you are having has been fixed...

I plan to release a version today or early tomorrow...

ok never gotten this on any version i have tried i dont think but gettin it on a brand new install of 1.14 on a brand new isntall of windows xp as well. but if i keep hitting the eject button next to the hard drive section in media it shoudl go to a nothign playlist and all music and videos stop. but i get all the way down to 0 and there is still a playlist playing!!! how is that possible. that and some times it dosnt save thecurrent playlist that was playing when i exit CF and go back in like it used too. and go right back to the exact song i was playing last time.

Well I set CF up on house PC and then copy to CarPC and guess what? I can't activate it as its now tagged to my house PC.

Well its either than or my reinstall of XP after Vista which has casued it.

Also:
Using Silabs radio, it works fine till I switch channels then I get the new channel playing twice, sort of repeated, I pressume this is down to the Radio buffer?!?!

EDIT: This double radio issue stopped when Radio Buffering is turned off

I too noticed that CF needs to be associated with a specific PC. So, if I can only open CF in my CarPC, how am I meant to develop the skins? How are people meant to develop using the SDK? In their CarPCs? I don't get it.

had the activation screen come back up again for my cf like a week after i already activated it????

I also have internet connectivity problems after hibernate - if I was connected before hibernate.

However, I ran into different problem during I found out that... The mute button seems to be toggled, yet the music is still playing and nothing happens whit the mute button. Restarting CF didn't do anything. I haven't tried to shutdown cf, reboot and then restart it but I think that would do it.

Not a huge issue for me, because I hardly ever use the mute, but just thought I'd report it.

The activation has been updated too allow two activations, so it can be installed on a desktop/laptop and your car...

the reason the activation screen showed back up is most likely because of this update, you should be able to activate again now and use two...

has anybody had this problem first i had ffdshow's audio decoder disabled and everything always worked fine but then i went to play an downloaded HDTV content music video and the audio wouldnt play so i decided to try and enable ffdshow's decorder and that jstu freezes up CF on start up gets stuck on initilizing audio, same thign happend when i whoudl scroll to that video and it woudl also freeze up. any idea's
