HDRadio volume extremely low with CF RC2
Can you try cranking up the volume?
RC2 seems to set the Directed HDRadio volume very low.
I can hear it if I turn the volume way up.
If I first let the normal Directed controller bring up the radio, and then plug the audio in to my sound card, the volume is fine.

my problem is that cf is not controling the HDRADIO at all if i click tune up or tuen down the numbers do not move... that and for some reason cf will not unmute the line in. i go and unmute it manualy but if i exit the hdradio go back to my playlist then go back into hdradio line in is muted again so its CF that is muting the line in.

check your settings, if you turn off buffer it will not mute your playback line, if you want to use buffer make sure to set the recording input and it should mute playback line so it will record and playback through the recorded file on the system...
not sure why not controlling system, try hard coding the COM port...
"C:\Documents and Settings\David\Local Settings\Application Data\Centrafuse\RadioModules\HDRadio\HDRadio.xml"
you can set volume levels and COM port in this file and restart Centrafuse...

i already have gone to the XML and changed it to the correct com port and still dead in the water, i heard disabling will stop the muting of the line in. havnt been able to test that part of it yet though. not shure what else could be the problem when the standalone app for hdradio works fine but in centrafuse cant get anything..

Such a path does not exist on my XP SP2 machine.
I do not have a login.
The 'Administrator' has no "Local Settings" directory.
PLEASE move this config data to a central place.

these are rules, you have to store files you can write into LocalAppData, or they will not run on Vista...
replace /David/ with the name of the user you have logged in with, and make sure show hidden files is visible...
we have removed most all cases where you need to go here, only a couple things left...

C:\Program Files\Flux Media\Centrafuse\RadioModules\HDRadio
thats where the module is for me, always has been on 2.x
the config files are right in the the RIGHT place too!
also, HDradio works quite good in RC3, there are a few little things to clean up
but its basicly there

ANd do you have Windows explorer to show hidden files and folders? LocaAppData is a hidden location by default, but you probably already knew that, just making sure...

Thanks.
I did not realize that there could be hidden folders as well as files.
Anyway, I enabled "Hidden Files and Folders" in Windows Explorer, edited the HDRadio.xml so the volume is 80 instead of 35, and all is well with the volume issue now.

Mitch,
I have radio Buffering OFF.
Did you ever have trouble in RC3 with CF failing to UNMUTE the Playback Line-IN (line-in on my sound card) when moving from Music to HDRadio?
I start CF in HDRadio. The first time I move from HDRadio to Music, CF mutes the playback line-in as it should so I can hear the WAV output.
But I then move back to HDRadio from Music, and line-in stays muted.
