Loss of Configration

Ok, this is the second time this happened to me in the past month. Centrafuse is running fine and all, I did actually exit the application properly this time. Go figure. (Thats cause I was playing around with it in the car and needed to reboot windows). Then, on the next restart, Centrafuse starts and Gives me the message like it always does on the fresh install asking to click to enter setup.

So i figure, ok, maybe it just forgot. so i click cancel to close it. i restart centrafuse again, same message, bummer. I have to reconfigure it. Reconfigure it, on the final dialog when you click finish, it has the 'guts' to ask if i would like to overwrite the previous configuration. I say yes, start Centrafuse, old music playlist is still there, but lost video playlist.

DaRacerz: Something caused CENTRAFUSE to not be able to read your config.xml file. This is the only reason the initial dialog will appear at startup. If this happens again, exit CENTRAFUSE and make me a copy of your config.xml file so I can see what went wrong....

Startup Dialog Box

Whenever I startup CF 1.6, it seems right after loading plugins I get what appears to be a blank Initial Setup Box with a just a cancel button

The reason I assume it is the initial Setup Box is because of the specific time it loads, and the size and shape looks alot like the initial setup box with only a cancel button that appeared on the first time you install CF.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled CF 1.6 and the first couple of times I used it no box appears, but then all of a sudden the mysterious box appears at every startup and I have acknowledge it by hitting the cancel button in order to allow CF to continue loading

CF work great with the exception of the bugs already noted for media visuals.

Any help would be appreciated on solving this annoying issue.

David, Great Job on CF 1.6

I'm getting a similar problem on my CarPC. I also can't install ffdshow properly, it says it cannot find a file on the hard drive which does exist. So i'm wondering if there is something stopping the applications from reading files from the hard drive. I have a custom install (nlited) of Windows XP Pro.

Anyone else having similar sorts of problems with Centrafuse not reading the config file?

I think this may be related to phoco. I didn't have the problem until I loaded and configured Phoco. You may want to try moving Phoco to the inactive plugins folder and see if the problem goes away.

Yes, I also removed Phoco and the box continues to pop up. The box wasn't a problem until I installed Phoco and configured my phone. I wonder if Phoco leaves a little behind in CF even when the program files are placed into the inactive folder.
