I'm attaching a screenshot of the error. You'll notice at the top the artist and song title show up properly. so the tags are being read.

also the file is playing, but I can't get into the media section at all. the error pops up.

ok. ive just been playing with it for a few minutes. heres what ive noticed:

> lack of web browser (did you just plan on letting people use their own as embedded apps or what?)
> multichannel support? i dont know if its because of the current configuration, but i couldnt get any sound either from the music or videos to come out of the rear speakers. and the rear slider in the mixer refuses to slide up as well as the sub slider. my current configuration on the sound card is quad as that's how my 4.1 speaker system is set up (the sub derives the bass from the 4 speakers).

no dvd and no cd playback. cd letter is assigned correctly.

I have the same problem as Cheekz185... D: set as CD, but get the "no tracks present prompt".

DVD works fine. I am running XP SP2. If I click on disk from Windows desktop Media Player 10 opens and works fine. I have tried autoplay off and on,.... no joy.

This was also a problem in V1.2... changed to V1.3 hoping that it would be solved.

When you click play in the MEDIA, the status bar displays Pause, when it should be saying "Playing" ;if i confused u ask me to further explain.
Great new look, many things fixed compared to 1.2

I got the solution to CD player problem...

Heres whats causing it... In the screenshot I see the CD Letter setting says D:\ this is wrong... this should just say D It is only suppose to be the letter.. you will need to change it in the config.xml in the system folder...

the :\ is what is causing it to fail... That is a bug from my setup populating the wrong thing from the dialog.. I will get that fixed...

Hi David, your fix worked 100%! Thanks, it was driving me nuts.... gonna try rip a CD now...

By the way the CPU utilisation is far better on this version... runs a consistant 2-3% with no media playing. Ver 1.2 ran 35% in idle....

Nice work, I really love the simplicity of this program.... later.

cd works, but resuming music after ejecting seems to take quite a while. had about 10-15 seconds of silence. also, dvd playback still refuses to work. i also cant bring the video library up either (which iirc, was part of the dvd section)

I never found that floppy problem in 1.2... That narrows it down atleast.. I know it's in some of the code I pulled from 1.2... I have one computer that still has a floppy drive and it doesn't happen on that machine... I need to find a setup that causes the problem so I can debug...

The only code I have that queries windows for drive status is the autoplay... and some say it still happens when autoplay is disabled... What about if you disable autoplay and reboot... does it still do it when you come back up?
