Both computers are running 2k. I tried the install first, then copied the folder and just replaced all the files on the carputer, with the ones from the desktop. Both comps have the same .net installed, so I'm still kinda lost as to what to do next.

Agree 100% with that. I'm a big fan of wider playlist display area so you can fit more of the songname in the screen since I don't browse my songs by artist/albums like most people do.. I end up seeing only the band name and album then it gets cut off.. Even then it probably won't make it to the song name.. I should probably start making ID3 tags and such if I ever want to use most of the softwares that are made now beacuse they all have very little width for text..
On a side note, if you click on the cover art image, it changes between 2 different graphic eq thingys..

i think it's required to be there for the time-being, because you now also play video through the "media" section; when you select videos to play, it shows the video in that little area, and you click that to make it fullscreen.

I don't know what to tell you. There could be an issue with some builds of 2k, that's why David requires XP. I'm at work right now and have it running on 2k myself. It seems to work fine, but I'm sure there's a reason xp is required.

Ah well, it's not a big deal.. It's probably alot of work to just remove it from the screen with a click in the settings anyway.. Doesn't bother me all that much now since I was just informed that Centrafuse won't display the full band/album/track by filename anyway.. That's pretty cool what you mentioned though.

Same version on both machine. Same disc even. I'm gonna just reformat the carputer and start over from scratch. I need to do that anyway. There has to be something that I'm missing.

not sure about this... I can't reproduce this problem.. CD's play fine.. Do you have autoplay enabled? Does anything happen when you insert a CD. What about when you insert a DVD? Try a data CD that contains some music files just to see...

I get this error as well when playing OGG files

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine

Flux guys ... I will say though, that this app is absolutely awesome so far. It's not usable yet because of the OGG and next track bugs ... but damn am I impressed! I even love the skin, and I didn't think I would.
This release is amazing ... it's exactally what all the other front ends have been lacking.

Do the OGG tags get read into the database properly? I actually added the OGG support, but never ran it... I don't have any OGG files... I added so much and was so behind with the release, I pretty much just stopped where I was programming and released... It won't take me long to use all this feedback and release an update...

it seems they do. However I've noticed the files that crash my car don't crash my desktop. i'm installing dotnet sp1, wmp 10, and a bunch of otehr patches to bring my car closer to my desktop. everything except SP2 really Is SP2 needed?
I do get the rebuild error on both machines tho.
