the CD selection on the media maneger.

I moved the CD button to the main media screen underneath the visualization... It seemed to make more sense to me there... I think it works better being a seperate mode you switch too and not part of the media manager... I also added eject...

When I wake up from hibernate in CF (where it was left off) the screen is just blank. Nothing wrong with the hardware, because I see the boot process, it just when the OS is up and CF takes over the screen blanks. The music plays in the background, I can use the touch feature of the screen and skip forward (because I know where the buttons are). Some times after 5 minutes and some times after 30 minutes or more the screen wakes up. I also tried pushing stuff to see if I could make it work, but havent found a good combination.

Im running on a Epia V10000 board with and NVidia PCI board as the primary board....

What kind of debugging can I do to help you find this "bug"?

that is very weird... Are you using an LCD? are you hibernating in radio mode?

problems playing certain media types

david,

CF 1.2 played all my media with no problems. Ever since 1.3 some of my files (all AAC I believe) don't play at all. I hit load, and then CF does nothing. I've tried to click play, but there is no response from CF.

I have the 3ivx decoder installed.

As I said, they played fine in 1.2, so I know my codec is working properly.

I've uploaded an example of one of the files that won't play to my webspace, here:

www.remarkable.ca/example.zip

(it's a high quality file, sorry bout the 11mb size)

Thanks
Mark

I strongly disagree with this.

I have two outputs, front drives my full range speakers (front and back) and the sub output drives my woofer.

I normally have my sub output at full, and my front output down a bit as my amp for the front is a bit louder.

If CF automatically raised these levels it would totally screw up my settings.

Thanks
Mark

You can't add audio extensions to the config and have them work like before... This was a simple problem of me forgetting to add m4a, from inside the code... I have fixed this and the file you sent plays fine...

note: you don't need any codecs installed anymore... I have support for playing AAC files built directly into CENTRAFUSE.. you don't need codecs for any of the formats I play anymore.... I don't use them, I use my own anyway...

note: If you want to get them playing now you can simply rename your .m4a files to .mp4 and they will play...

David,

So is OGG supported natively now? Or do I still need codec for that? I might just uninstall it if not needed!

ok, i must have missed that if you've already been over it... sorry.

unfortunately i cannot rename that many files, i mirror my library from my home system and it would cause chaos! guess i'll just wait for the next release.

i am also having problems with CF not reading some ID3 tags properly. i can't quite figure out which or why... could this be related to the file extension? i have three albums by the artist i sent you, and the artist "robert randolph" doesn't show up in the listing at all.

CF seems to have read in all of the files (i added m4a before knowing it wouldn't play them) but they just don't show up. it's strange.

thanks again

wiki

David, have you ever considered starting a wiki for documenting things in CF?

Since you don't have too much time it might be great for you because then users could help compile documentation, and known bugs, etc.

Far easier to search than message boards.

yes, I notice the most effisency buttons, good!
but by leaving CD selection in the media manager could have the advantage of creating playlist mixted with CD tracks or queue...

BUG Updating Library could yield 'duplicates'

1) Rebuild your library
2) Edit the TITLE id3 tag of any given MP3
3) Update library by doing 'Add Music', and selecting the folder where the updated MP3 resides.
4) 1 Song is 'added'
5) PROBLEM: Now the CF database has 2 entries for the updated file. (treats it as 2 separate files, only one is valid and playable)

BUG Hibernation issues

Don't know if this has been reported, but if I hibernate while playing music (mp3 files), when I wake up from hibernation the music continues playing where it left off, but the sound is all jumpy and jittery for the first several seconds.

In one instance, the only way to resolve the problem was to PAUSE and UNPAUSE... then everything was normal.

Is it just me?

I've notice a bug that has not been mentioned.

If a song is playing and the system is placed into hybernation (have not tested standby) when the system resumes from hybernation and the song starts playing there is a clicking sound. If I pause and then unpause the song after system resumes from hybernation then the clicking goes away. If I pause the song before the system is placed into hybernation then there is no problem when the system resumes.

Also for a feature: When browsing the media library can the up and down buttons perform like the volume buttons. When you hold them down they will continue scrolling. Thanks.

What is up with this issue?

Lilliput 7", donīt even use the radio function (carpc is routed through a Pioneer system with radio).

Funny thing is this failed EVERYTIME, yesterday i changed back to Blue ICE WS and then back again to Brushed Metal skin, and now everything works fine..... I will test it again with Blue ICE when I drive home tonight.

Don't know if this has been mentioned..
While watching some music vids, the 'repeat' mode repeats only one vid all the time
and not repeating the queue as I believe it should work.. Or shouldn't it?

/p

Repeat mode is supposed to only repeat one entry in the queue. THe queue itself will always be repeated.
