"Squeeze" is actually an artist name from a different channel. This field should be {Station Name}.
- CF is setting MIC LEVEL to 50 on startup
- Mouse cursor is ON after return from hibernate. Looks like it's related to hibernating when an external app has focus.
- Startup location shows blank if configured for anything other than "Main Menu". I think it's literally "anything" - it's everything I've tried so far. This is a display-only bug, and will show itself after setting the option, then exiting CF and restarting.
I cannot reproduce your XM bug...
SAPI is setting your mic level at 50 based on how you trained your profile, do you have voice enabled?
I will look into the mouse hide, it must be only when external app has focus..
My startup location rights fine on 4 different machines and noone else has reported this...

I get a popup named 'Setup Error' with the text 'Failed to load resources from resource file Please check your Setup'. When I click OK Centrafuse completely closes (as long as I don't click OK the music keeps on playing though the playing time counter stands still).
Haven't been able to pinpoint the exact location of the error. My guess would be that it has something to do with the mini-visualisation as I've only seen it happen while in the Media screen with the mini-vis enabled. But even then, it appears random and I'm not able to reproduce it (other than going into the Media screen and just wait for like 5, 10, 20, 30, 60 minutes )
Update: just got the error while on the Media Screen and pressing Hibernate which I've put under the 'global' buttons. CF hang for half a minute before showing the error.
Using the Onyx WS Night skin btw.
And I'll report the lowresproblem with the cam-plugin here as a bug, as the thread regarding the cam-plugin thread appears to be dead.
I love Centrafuse, but these little things are quite irritating.

Hmmm. all I have to do is let it sit and it'll happen 4/10 times on a station refresh. I'll work on getting a screen shot, but at the moment, I can't use the embedded XM plugin since I can't refresh the channel list. I'll cobble the "satchannels.xml" together by hand so I can go back to using it.

SAPI? Nope, I'm not using voice recognition nor voice prompts. The PC I use in the car has only one external audio input and that's the MIC (there's no LINE) and that's being used with the XM Direct tuner. So the net effect of this happening is that "audio doubling" on XM that I keep talking about.

Thanks. I'll keep trying to narrow down just how to make it happen.

100% repeatable here. I'll work on narrowing this down as well.

I have one other person who has received this bug, I have to track it down... The only thing I changed was add that new visual... Try removing all the visuals from the visuals folder, back them of first of course, then try to reproduce as hard as you can...
If it does not happen again then it's simply that new visual I added, hopefully... That is the most generic .NET error possible and leads me no where to find the solution, I hoping it's just the new visual I added...
Let me know...

When SETTINGS/GENERAL/STARTUP LOCATION is NOT set to MEDIA,
1) load CF (you don't start in Media mode because of settings)
2) go to MEDIA
3) load a playlist (music play with your
4) close CF
5) load CF again (you don't start in Media mode because of settings so song is not playing e.i. playlist is not loaded an queue is empty)
6) close CF immediatly (don't go to Media section)
7) re load CF again and go to MEDAI : YOUR PLAYLIST IS EMPTY
That's mean if your SETTINGS/GENERAL/STARTUP LOCATION is NOT set to MEDIA, if you start CF, close it immediatly and restart CF you will loose your current playlist.

Not a bug, but a suggestion...
I don't think it was necessary to put a NO GUI flag on the application setup dialogs... I think it would have been sufficient to have CF assume it is a non GUI app if you do not put a Window Name parameter.
When you set up NON-GUI apps, you leave out the window name param
I am so happy with RC3. No major showstoppers on this one, and I have it in my car now.

Just wanted to update and as I read it doesn't work in any language setting than english I went to the setup menu and changed the language to english. It then asked me if I wanted to overwrite the current settings. I clicked ok and it sticks at that screen. The yes/no dialog stays open and no button drawn on screen responses to anything. I can click on "save" though and than am able to click on "yes" again, but this leads to nothing. After some time an error pops up (windows tool window style) which reads: 'Setup error: Failed to load resources from resource file. Please check your Setup.' Clicking 'Ok' in that dialog box closes CF. Error.log stays empty. I can reproduce this bug by repeating to change settings, altough sometimes it behaves correctly.

What they meant was your windows machine has to be set to English in order for the update to work, not Centrafuse... I posted on how to install the update manually...
As for the 'Setup error: Failed to load resources from resource file error, I've been trying to reproduce this... there are a handful of people reporting this issue and nothing in common... Are you playing music when you go into settings? Do you have visuals running when you are doing this? Is navigation open?
Can you try to not have any of that running and see if you can still reproducce this error...
david

Yes, I followed your instructions and have succesfully updated CF (manually).
I use no navigation as I use CF at home on my htpc.
I can now reproduce this bug everytime.
1) Start CF
2) Go to 'Settings'
3) Go to 'General'
4) Click on 'Language'
5) Choose a language and click 'Ok'
6) Click 'Save' on the 'General' screen
A dialog will pop up asking: 'Overwrite current settings?'
7) Click 'Yes'
A new dialog will pop up reading: 'Changing skin'
It will disapear, but CF still displays the 'General' screen and the 'Save' button will stay highlighted. From this point on, everything will be as described earlier.
I tried it with music playing, music paused, music stopped with either a playlist loaded or not (by simply ejecting all playlists) and it happens everytime. Visualisation is set to display the cover art and I have deleted all other Visualisation files in the folder, because CF had a bad habbit of switching back to a vis when all I want is coverart. CF will eat 99% CPU while this happens. Sometimes other buttons on the 'General' screen stay responsive, sometimes not - but at all times I'm not able to leave the 'General' settings screen; it always crashes CF.

I found a bug, I think? (unless it is a 'feature')
If you set up or connect to a web page that reloads automatically every 15 seconds, then the LOADING message appears regardless of what screen you are on. For example, I am in Media screen, but every time the web page reloads (behind my media screen) the LOADING dialog pops up in front.
I think the LOADING dialog message should be disabled if Web is not the frontmost app.

I cannot reproduce this following the exact steps... Does it create an error.log file? If so please post or email it...
note: Try to also remove all the plugins from the plugins folder and then re-create the issue... If that does not stop it then set your startup page to MAINPAGE and do not load Media, then try to reproduce it... Trying to narrow down where this could be... And it should be creating an error.log file...

No it doesn't create an error log, but I think I nailed the bug down. It only happens if I use my custom skin. I just changed the skin to one shipped with CF and it behaved correctly. Exited CF, fired it up again and changed to my skin it loaded correctly. Did the steps reported and it happend again. The only thing I can think of is that there was some change in the skin system since RC1 because I created the skin using that version. I could send you the skin if you'd like to investigate it further.

Then it would be something in my changeskin function I need to verify if the skin is properly formatted...
that helps...
There was one other user reporting this issue... What skin were you using?

Well I modded the Onyx WS Night to fit scale to 800x600. I changed various png's and used the skin editor posted in this forum to edit the xml. I atached the xml to this post. I hope that this helps. If you need more information or files I'll gladly send them to you.
