well, didnt see these in the list of known issues.
-all of the actions are very delayed. switching to visualization screen in rc3 was almost instant, now there is about a 4 second wait before it gets there.
-exiting the vis. screen by tapping anywhere will also cause your tap to register in cf. for example, i hit the vis. screen to exit and it simultaneously selects another song that was where i tapped.
-im not able to adjust my volume. maybe its something i did, but it worked fine in rc3 and now the bar will fluctuate, but remain at its beginning state, which is whatever i set it at in the start up volume plugin. i tried getting rid of the plugin and it still happens. i didnt go back through windows to double-check things though.
-i have mine running as system shell, but it does not boot up so. goes straight to windows desktop. also, when i exit cf with this option checked, it loads up a bunch of other windows. explorer, my wireless signal window, and 1 or two more i cant remember off the top of my head.

Visualization
Very sorry if I am repeating this, thought I already posted it, but can´t find the post, so maybe I just thougt about it :-)
When you start up CF and have music set to auto-play, it only auto-starts music if you automatically start up in Media, it use to autostart music no matter what section you started up in.
When you start up CF, it ALWAYS shows thumbnail visualizations running in the media section, eventhough I disabled it, it returns after a restart of CF. Shouldn´t it remember that I choose not to see them?

This has happened to me too with previous releases... it seems that all of a sudden something gets corrupt, and then it default sot visuals forever.
My solution has been to delete the main.dat file (back it up if you want), and then run the RC4 installer MSI file again. It will create a new DAT file for you. You will need to reindex your music library.

It would be in the settings.xml, make sure this file is not corrupted and still valid XML...
both your visual and auto starting music should be working...

Does anyone use S3 Suspend-to-RAM when leaving their car? I've started doing this and found that Centrafuse slows down MASSIVELY after suspend and resume. After a fresh reboot, it's quick and responsive, but button clicks are at least a full second delayed after being suspended. It appears to get worse after successive suspend-and-resume cycles. Closing CF and reopening it doesn't solve the problem, so it may be a Windows issue and not a CF one.

That does not happen on my system... might be one of your system drivers that isn't working well with suspend/hibernation...

My friend has the exact same problem with the music, now these were both fresh out of the box CF installs.... He complained about it, so it was the first thing I checked after installing RC4 on a fresh XP install and new PC.

Put some phone bugs here, not sure whether the post was best here or there :-)

Xm Pcr
So My XM PCR Arrived today.
i got this to work quite quickly in XP... This however is not working in centrafuse.
i went into settings, and selected satellite radio.
i selected XM PCR as the xm device and "line" as the input.
after i clicked save, a number of things went weird.
1. i clicked on XM radio, and the xm did not play, the song titles did not come up and no sound was coming out.
2. after i would click on one of the centrafuse buttons, the sound from the click would start to echo over and over, getting faster and faster... the more times i would click a button it would get worse.
i removed centrafuse alltogether and reinstalled it with ONLY the XM part configured, and this still was doing the same thing!! Even in the settings menu, the sound from clicking the button would echo over and over. And again... nothing playing from XM.
however, i was able to play from the XM software with no issues.
______________
Epia M1000 board
Sound Blaster Creative Live 24bit external card
XM PCR
______________
I hope that someone can repro this, otherwise, please let me know what sort of things i can give you to help you with this.

I'm using S3 and haven't seen any of this. Probably one of your drivers, like David said.
I'm seeing though that after S3 my touchscreen sometimes starts to react right-click-like (i.e. whenever I go to the desktop and press on one of the icons it acts like I've pressed the right mouse button). I have a feeling this only happens if I have CF enabled, that it works normally if I don't.

Does anybody that has got this problem also a similar (wlan-wise) config?
Oh yes, again, nothing in error.log. Just old stuff from Oct 9 when it last crashed and I had to start it again, but nothing noteworthy.
After that, I've disabled the WLAN (pulled it out alltogether). No crash since, so I bet it must be something in this area. David, help :-)

Have you double-checked that you've designated the correct com port # in setup of the XMPCR in CF? It will be the number of the port that says "USB Serial Port" in XP device manager.
Though there are a couple of known issues with XM in CF, what you're describing is not one of them.

For reference:

The double/triple tracking sounds familiar, but I hadn't heard it get faster & faster. I've had the random non-responsiveness happen as well, but it's pretty infrequent.
David's supposedly focusing on XM issues this time, but considering all the other things that popped up (or are still broken) in RC4, I think we may get pushed down on the pile again.

I can open the file in a browser and it shows XML, so it should be valid?
As mentioned, this has never worked, even after total reinstall, set to start up in main menu. When i click media it loads the playlist and takes 1-2 seconds, so it looks like the entire plugin/module is not loaded on startup of CF.
Deleted main.dat and ran a repair via the MSI installer. Still both problems.
Deleted the settings file, started CF (changed to day skin, so I know it worked :-) ), still both problems.
Disabled Visuals by clicking the thumbnail (any other way of disabling?), stop start CF. Still both problems
Deleted the error log, started CF, started media, switched off visuals, return to main menu, shut down CF from main menu, started CF again, no music, went to media and music starts and visuals also start. No error log is created.
