I have a couple bugs to report..
First one is that when playing a list of videos off the hard drive, If I start at one, double click the little video to make it fullscreen, then use the bar at the bottom to skip to the next, then try to black out the screen by holding the gamma button down it leaps forward in the video like I was fast forwarding. also, if I happened to press the track back ( << ) button before trying to black out the screen it would jump back while blacking out the screen.. if the previous button press is either volume up or down, I can't black out the screen at all in the next button press.
Also in this same mode, when switching back and forth, the video's seem to get squished and are no longer in their origanal resolution.. pressing the <-> button twice fixes it so they are back to their origanal shape.
Second one is that the visualizations don't seem to work when playing a CD.. they just act as if no music is playing at all.
Other than those little things.. no probs at all.

I have a number of electronica tracks as MP3s, most are 80meg in size, some are over 100meg. When selecting one to play, I get the "Loading" banner for quite a while, (20-30 seconds on a 2ghz machine with 1.5gig of RAM) before the track starts to play. What are you "Loading"?
WMP starts the playback of any of these tracks in under a second.

Two things... a) the "won't save XM favorites" wasn't a problem in RC4.1; b) please add these (and the "confused data elements" issue) to your "known issues" list so they're not forgotten.
(so, three new items... 1) "Won't save XM favorites"; 2) "XM display elements get confused"; 3) "Clearbuffer error on module load")

David, the aussie maps are a bit strange. i had the old maps and they were ok. the new 2006 maps make you take right turns on no right turns, or left turns on through malls that you can't drive through, you don't get an option to skip toll roads, and there's no general map browsing. the GPS side needs a bit more work on CF. i've also had issues with tracking and response delays with the voice.

The Aussie maps were broken that Destinator released... They just fixed them a abou 2 weeks ago... I have had them tested and they are fixed... So the Aussie maps that will be coming with Centrafuse do not have this problem...
tracking and response delays is something with your system speed and what GPS issues need work that are not related to your bad maps?
It did take awhile for Flux and others to convince Destinator they had broken Aussie maps, but we finally did and got them recompiled just weeks ago...

What map are you loading? It works fine on my M10000 for all the North American maps. What country and map? Must be a very large list... If that is the case I will have to come up with some way to not fully populate it...
The UK is the one I noticed being very large and taking too much time, are you using UK maps? If so you guys have a lot of postcodes
I will check it out...

This is now a 95% repro. My XM presets decided to save today. It did happen to be an instance of my not exiting CF before killing the ignition, so it hung on coming back from hibernate ("XM displays 'Loading' banner on restore") and I had to get the keyboard out, kill CF, and restart it.
Maybe that's a clue? Maybe the fav's are actually getting saved but then cleared on a proper exit?

I found the repro for this... This will happen when you try to add a folder that has nothing in it. The way your listbox works, it wants to highlight something in the folder for it to think that there's a reason for you to click "Save". If there's nothing there, it won't allow the "Save".
New stuff...
- XM isn't saving Last Channel. It's always defaulting to "1".

Thanks for tracking down the folder issue, that will help me get it fixed quicker...
I apologize for all the XM issues... I have not touched the code in quite some time... We initially were waiting to hear back from XM about a new device they wanted us to use for the PC that was encrypted, we can all thank TimeTraxs for that issue...
They have plans to try and stop all this XMDirect PC front-end software, but are busy getting sued by the RIAA right now I believe, over their newer device that did all the recording. But for now I'm sick of waiting and I will just fix it all.. I have to renew my subscription it's been so long since I worked on it...
Also since XM is a US only feature, I felt I needed to get everything else fixed first...
I will get them all fixed for you and thanks for the testing everyone!!!!
david

David, the History on the sat nav doesn't save any history for me. what is it supposed to save actually? i'm not too sure myself. the little buttons on the left hand side can get a little annoying as i've pressed the map and accidentally cancelled the rout many times when trying to fiddle with those buttons.

What version are you using? Which little buttons are you talking about? There were small buttons on the left side of the map in RC4.1, but they have been removed for the exact reason you mention...
History is a history of all the places you have routed too... I will double check it, but it worked last time I checked it...

I would just like to express my appreciation to David for his work - I know some people get frustrated with bugs, but this is how software development works, we are all beta (or RC now) testers. The only real bug I've run into on my machine is the skin hibernation Nav button issue which is known, I don't see any of these taskbar or other issues reported with crashing and errors, but maybe I'm just lucky. I have a VIA EPIA M10000 with a laptop 40GB HD - take that for what it's worth I guess.
