Failed to load resources from resources ... etc

XP Home (minimized, nLite), Dutch, Dotnet 1 till 3, PIII, 666, 250Mb, latest CF, default skin
At first got the error when trying to build a library
Lowered the amount of files, error happened a little while after building the library.
Saw on the forum the same error appeared in 3.x and had to do something with viz ? Didn't know what was meant exactly, but got rid of the buttons I don't need in the main. Surprise was great when I was able to build the library, and play for more than 2 hours.
Funny thing is, I played around with CF for a while BEFORE I tried to build the library. I played around with the settings for the navigation, no error came up, and this took me a couple of hours.
There's one thing I'll try (cuz CF didn't give any error at all at my other machine, an AMD64 3400 though), reinstall the whole windows bunch (FULL) and stick to dotnet 1.1. See what it gives, won't be for today I suppose.
Any idea is welcome

I've had to reinstall CF a couple of times since RC4.2 was released. After a day or two of use, it brings me to the Setup screen again and I have to reinstall to get things to work.

I'm not sure if this has been reported, but everytime I load my entire music library (about 1450 songs now), and restart the computer, most of the songs disappear from the playlist. The number of song still present in the list after a reboot varies between 50-250 songs.. It almost never resumes the actual song that was playing either.

ok, don't know whether this is uselfull or not,
installed XP Home Dutch, full, only 1.1, mapsource soft and that's about it, it works like a breeze
so apparently I removed something critical with my nlite version ... question is: what ?
cheers

There have been a few discussions about nLite versions, and the net result is that CF is hooked into enough stuff that it's not really worth the headaches to figure out what you can get away with ripping out.

Thee last time this was mentioned, someone piped up saying that he's been able to strip something out, but he didn't offer up an nLite config to share.

Bottom line, I think 99.9% of the CF users are running a full install.

My last ISO was down to 333MB including ~50MB of drivers. and it works fine with CF 4.2.

I'm still working on getting it down.

Sure. you'll need to rename it by removing the .txt

RVMUpdatePack2.1.4

I have updated the threads...

Here they are.

RC4.3 Release Notes
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/centrafuse/91699-centrafuse-rc4-3-release-notes.html

Known Issues
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/centrafuse/80817-centrafuse-known-issues.html

All the major issues have been fixed... Still working on the HQCT some and trying to fix a couple of the issues listed under "Known Issues being looked into", I was able to remove a couple from this list, but of course add a couple more at the same time

I still have to double check some code, package the installer, and test it...

I know about the serial expiration issue and I'm working hard to get this out fast, but a good release...

Known Satellite Radio Issues
- hibernate from XM favorites screen, on resume loading shows up and hangs application
REALLY???? You can't find time to fix this ONE issue?

The only good thing at this point is my truck is down while I rebuild the engine. That saves me from constantly having to deal with this 10+ times a day.

ARGH

I'm not done yet, hence the known issues... There are many people around the world that use Centrafuse, XM and the US is a very small part, so those bugs come last...

I WILL get all the XM issues fixed... my releases are coming out very fast, expect it to all be fixed soon...

I hope to get even less bugs with RC4.3, therefore giving me time to focus on XM and knock it all out at one time...

Not to mention I don't have an XM subscription anymore at the time, but I plan to renew once I start to fix...

I understand your frustration... I hope that RC4.3 will have few bugs reported and I can focus on the few and XM for RC4.4...

david

As you've said before, but of all the bugs left across ALL the modules, this one is crippling for those folks that don't ride with a keyboard so that they can "safely" reboot (versus just yanking the power).

Wanna me to add you to my plan for a month or two? I'd be willing to drop one of my four receivers to get you activated.

I'll sign up and get it all fixed... once I load XM, I will be fixing it all... Hopefully next release for sure...

I personally hate XM, which doesn't help with programming it

And I hate DRM, but I wrote the porting kit for MSFT anyway.

How about handing off the source for the XM module to me and you can stick with the HQ radio module?
