hari-bhari can only hope to improve
not sure if this was brought up already, but when I receive a call through phoco, it displays the incorrect caller ID. it seems to be displaying the caller ID from the LAST call instead of the current one. All other features work fine.

BUG Playing DVD and phonecontrol

Hey again Dave

Now when I got the DVD to work in CF 5.0, I tried to test different CF features.
Ran across a problem ore a bug.

While playing a DVD I made an incoming cal to my phone. The DVD isn’t muted (sound isn’t muted) ore if it’s possible to pause the movie.
I have set the phonecontrol switching to headset at incoming calls, using my VIA EPM M1000 onboard soundcard.

few issues i have with this release of CF:

- sometimes, after resuming hibernation phonecontrol and gps wont work properly (gps acquires satellites, but doesn´t move on the map).
-Phoco - when resuming hibernation sometimes it can't acess inbox, received calls, etc
- touchscreen and audio (this one wasn't present on previous releases). when my touchscreen is connected sometimes audio wont work (if i press any CF menu using the touchscreen) if i keep pressing other menus or options audio will come back. (my touchscreen is a cartft mm450 - same as mm400 but with more backlight)

not sure about your touchscreen issues, those sound strange and shouldn't have anything to do with Centrafuse...

your GPS COM issues will most likely be fixed with programs like XPort or GPSGate...

I noticed that on the GPS, the info seems to always show speed after coming back from hibernation. Isn't it supposed to remember which info you chose before going into hibernation?

it should... it could be rotating right when you come out... seems it wouldn't always be the same...

no code in place to set that, on resume show speed...

strange...

I have it set to not rotate, and then I change it to show the address most of the time, but then when I come out of hibernation the next time it is on speed. Speed is obviously the first info in the cycle, that probably has something to do with it.

veetid it has to do with the touchscreen.

when the touchscreen is not connected, but everything else is exactly the same, audio works perfectly. I can select any menu, any button "insert action here" and audio doesn't stop.
I connect the touchscreen to the usb port, the same one i used during rc2, rc3, rc4... (everything worked fine) now doesnt, audio just seems to stop and if i keep pressing menu (gps, phoco, media...) eventually it will come back.
I can also close and restart CF, audio will work again.

If i'm using windows for something via touchscreen and i have mediaplayer running some music, i can press whatever i want, no problems at all, its just in CF, and like i said restarting the application seems to solve it

- Computer is the same
- screen is the same
- gps is the same
- ms windows is the same
- drivers are the same
- rc5 has audio "issues"

That's the exact kind of behaviour I've been getting... though on my machine it happens when returning from hibernation or standby. To get any sound I have to exit CF and start it again.

Also sometimes GPS doesn't work, sometimes it does. Same goes for my camera's, which is quite irritating as I do like to have them available at any time (thinking 'bout putting in extra composite monitors to have a direct camera image, 'cause I just can't rely on CF displaying them properly - not to mention the low-resolution-problem I've reported here a few times... it's still not on the known problems list )
Camera problem can however be caused by the not so state-of-the-art TV card I'm using... sometimes a very bumpy road causes the card to stop working as well (you can then see it replay the last few frames over and over).

All problems appear to be driver related at first, but when you take CF out of the equation everything works
Another hint to not blame the driver: CF just seems unable to actually play an mp3... the timecounter stands still.
And it's only since RC5 (ok, before RC4 I had an other machine, but still).

Don't get me wrong, CF is still well ahead of the competition and I am still planning on buying it, but since RC5 a lot of things seem to have changed for the worse

Keep up the good work, but please take a very serious look at the hibernation/standby code, 'cause there must be some bug in there (sorry I can't get more information).

I added your CAM resolution problem to my bug list, I have 2 other CAM issues to look into, so it would be a good time....

I guess the CAM device does not remeber it's settings and needs to have them reset after hibernation, like which section you where in composite or tuner mode, that sound right?

Not sure about the audio not working, I cannot reproduce this one... hopefully the next release won't do it...

I have the same GPS problems. After coming back from hibernation it will show an X on the arrow and the speed/elevation..etc will be the same as the time it went into hibernation. It won't update or do anything and will just stay there.

is it a bluetooth receiver? Try Xport or GPSGate and see if it fixes your problem...

mp3/wma/wma+drm + ac3filter

So, I recently got a new power supply and finally have my system back up and running (been down for almost a year as i bought a house and have been busy).

I did a lot of beta testing on CF in the past, and was happy to see a release candidate. So, I installed ac3filter, and was extremely excited to see the matrix mixer, and how i can finally distribute audio (from any source, 2 channel, 5.1, etc) to my 4.1 audio setup (since creative doesn't properly support 4.1).

I then start playing audio in CF to realize that you're not wrapping wmp, which I had assumed. I guess this was done for perf? But it leads me to wonder if there is some way (config switch could be added) so that it could use wmp for playback? This opens a huge world of plugins that are available, and saves the work for drm wma playback (which i've noticed you have so it might not be too useful). Otherwise is there any way to get CF to support the ac3filter, as there is a winamp verison of the ac3filter, so it can't be inconcievable a task.

Basically, I'm just looking to either swtich a config setting to use wmp (my machine should have the perf for it), support the ac3filter directly, or find out if there's even a current method in CF to support such a filter that I could port (I'm a dev for the largest software company in the world ).

Thoughts? I wish it wasn't the case, but allowing me to have ac3filter type controls over audio, and audio mapping, etc, is a make or break situation on CF, even though I love the application. Additionally an ac3filter type filter would happen during decode/audioPipeline work and before the sound card, so full sound card line support (front/rear/sub) would still work great in their current form.

Thanks, and great looking app. Most of the features i'd been planning on coding you now seem to have included.
