It's a serial gps connected to a prolific serial-to-usb.
Tried Xport and it doesn't work. I can see the gps statements in Xport but somehow nothing appears on the new port created.

So I think it'd be pretty easy to allow a setting to use wmp for audio files as well, wouldn't it?
I like ac3filter, but I'm sure with the wide selection of filters for programs like wmp it would open the door for other options in audio playback and control.

the video does use the same engine as WMP, but the audio never will... the video will also be re-written so that it does not require any 3rd party media player...
I will look into making ac3filter work with the audio solution we have in place once I get this release out...

I have noticed a little offset beetween video and sound in Centrafuse. It is not very huge (a half of a second) but in VideoLan player (VLC), the sound and the video are perfectly synch.

Well the black screen on resume from hibernate bug is back. CF is obviously working because I can press the invisible butons and have things happen.
Also, I get a map data is corrupt error upon starting destinator after a reboot, but if I quit CF and reload it then destinator starts fine (using Destinator PN UK_Ireland maps - I guess it's down to the compatability issues)

sliders appear to not be working in the mixer...
Once I click on them to move them pc stops responding and needs a reboot, but music continues.
Also sound quality has gone ****ty - currently looking into this as it appears something to do with Pre-Amp settings.
Playlist isn't loaded up properly at startup, have to open media, then it populates itself and tunes begin to play.
Also, with loading of address dialog taking so long, why not auto load this when pc is idle so people don't have to wait when they finally click the various nav options like STREET/POSTCODE etc.
When CF is shell, it will not load windows explorer back up on exit CF.
most annoying problem I have found however is that THE KEYBOARD (usb) WILL NOT WORK for entering addresses, forcing use of OSK which is a real pain now I have gone to the trouble of fitting a mini keyboard

So, it's not just me? I wasn't gonna say anything 'cause I figured it was just me and people had been happy with changes David made the last time there were quality complaints.
A new bug as well David: - After entering a new Music Folder, CF won't recognize the change until you exit and reload CF.

no code has changed from a sound standpoint, shouldn't be possible for the sound quality to have changed... literally no code related to audio playback has changed in multiple versions...
what do you mean it does not recognize it... once you hit save after adding a music folder it should then ask if you want to rebuild your library, if you say yes then it will read all your music into your database...
doesn't recognize it where?
david

'k. I'll try to do some quantitative testing and see if I can get a better idea of what I'm hearing. In general, it sounds like the high end is down about 3-5db starting at 7khz. The low-mids are pretty squished as well. This is on XM (understandable for some stations) but also for 192/320kbps WMA/MP3s from my USB player.

Whoops, my bad.
Given a starting point of only having the default music folder. - Settings
- Audio
- Click to add music folder
- Delete the default folder
- Add a new folder
- Save the config
- Media
- Music Folders
- Note that _original_ (default) music folder is there, NOT the new one
- Settings
- Audio
- Click to add music folder
- Note that the NEW folder _is_ there, NOT the default one
- Exit CF
- Restart CF
- All is well - the new folder shows up in Media and in Settings/Audio

Cool. thanks.
It's not a major thing, more of just a "oh, I have to exit CF first".
