If you have wrong parameters for Phone control in Centrafuse and get the message on Centrafuse startup "Opening the communication port failed..." (look at the joined picture) PhoCo will write several times per second the following message in error.log file in Centrafuse directory :

Code:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 07/01/2007 17:43:11 Une connexion existante a dû être fermée par l'hôte distant at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Receive(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 size, SocketFlags socketFlags) at PhoneControl.PhoCoInterface.ReceiverThread() ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It writes about 1,5Mo/minute !!!!

After a few day with my com port failed message I have my error.log file which is 230Mo big!!!!

I know that disabling the phone in settings solve the problem but I think PhoneControl should be fixed for this case.

I'm sorry, this has to be done by David. PhoCo isn't writing anything into the CF error.log.

However, there is a PhoCo Bug in this release that will not show the contacts from the phonebooks. To get rif of it, download these two files:
PhoneCtlInterface.zip -> goes into the CF folder
PhoneCtlWizard.zip -> goes into the CF\PhoneControl.NET folder

After that rerun the Wizard to correct the settings in the configuration file and everything's good.

Cant send SMS. I have an o2 mini xda (windows mobile 2003 SE) phone. I can recieve SMS messages, calls, dial, view inbox and everything BUT send an sms message. I have downloaded phonecontrol.net and have tryed using that software but the problem still occurs.... Dunno if its a bug i should be posting here or on the phoncontrol.net site. Or perhaps i have something not quite right? I have tryed setting up the phone as just a windows mobile 2003 handset but i still get the same issue.

Using widcomm stack. Headset working fine everything but sms.

Thanx

Did it work in a previous release or is this your first foray into CentraFuse?

Check for an "error.log" file in the CF install directory. If it's a problem with CF there may be some info there.

i still recieve the problem when i press media the volume goes back to "min"

Using realtek HD audio. I was emailed that this problem was fixed in this release but i am still getting this one. Had to resort to installing a PCI sound card to get by.

Had problems with viewing SMS messages on my o2 mini phone. Could view the contact list and call out but thats about it.

At the moment i just reverted back to previous version....

Thanks,

This has been around since RC4.2 and david hasn't even listed it as known bugs yet. And I've mentioned it for about three times now (in bug threads) without any reply from david.

language confusion

I dont know whether its a new bug, becaus I tried this the first time.
I want to see a video (.avi) which has two language streams, german and english. In mpc you can choose between both streams and hear what you want. CF mixes both streams and you hear german and english together. Its funny, but not what I want.

Start full screen on "ON" in CAM plugin option won't save.
Auto Start menu on "ON" doesn't work.

Visualizations

hey david, excellent work!

I just found a tiny bug that has to be mentioned:

1-play an mp3 file with a name/artist/album filled
next, play a normal audio CD and choose a track
now "full screen" the visualization,

it will show the track number with the details (artist + album) of the last mp3 file played before playing the CD.

good luck!
thanks again

using a bluetooth GPS and the Widcomm drivers. CF will connect to the bluetooth gps when you press navigation. If you put the computer into standby or hibernation. The bluetooth connection will be lost to the gps and you have to exit Centrafuse and enter centrafuse again. Or by manually connecting to the device and entering back into centrafuse. It seems like it doesnt refresh the com port that the bluetooth gps is assigned to.

Thats a windows and WIDCOMM issue, happens with phoco sometimes as well. Use a usb device, much more reliable. we recommend BU353.
