SOnds like an awesome suggestion,

I think David should consider adding a Crossfade button to the interface. And have it toggle between:
OFF
ON
DIFF ALBUM
etc...

A button is key here. Hate having to go back and forth to the settings menu. Imagine if the Random button was burried there too!

I have no need for an entire button dedicated to crossfading features. Seems like a waste of space to mee.

Great idea! Also, maybe a button for normalization (hopefully using replaygain)

It has done this since RC3 but I have been offline to post due to house move

POI warning function also warns about every POI And no way to select what is warns for or what it says as a warning!

Address lookups in NAV still take WAY WAY TOO LONG - 30seconds plus.

Also still suffering the screen flashing issue on resume from standby and Hibernate. Clicking NAV when button is visible stops it - When all my hardware and PC in house is set up I'll do a video to show this problem for you

It would also be handy IMO to have back and forward buttons on the playlist thingy on the left in Media player instead of just a back/eject button. You know, so you can skip forwards through playlists, not just go backwards.

BUMP!

Repeat is the third button from the right at the bottom of the UI. It looks like a stylized "x".

I'm looking into your issues and I read this thread, I just usually post when I have questions so the thread doesn't fill up with me saying ok I'll look into it for every single post...

I'm reading and fixing....

As for address search speed, they should only be a little slow the very first time you click them, then they are cached and should be pretty much instant...

I have no idea about your screen flashing, no one else has reported this and cannot reproduce...

Still working on the warnings for favorites/POI's with Destinator, posted about this many times...

your first comment about settings is a bug I will get fixed...

and the other feature additions are good ideas, but I am working on just bugs right now and will take new ideas once I get these bugs worked out...

david

Bugs in RC5

Weather - I have recently noticed that the current temperature in the weather plugin is getting cut off. For example it was -18 celcius yesterday and the display is only showing -1

Web - First when opening webpages the loading screen comes up and it seems to take a long time for a website to come up. When using ie outside of CF the websites are loading instantly. Also when trying to open a website link that should open in a new window CF seems to block the new windows. Is it possible to have the new window replace the current one instead of completely blocking the new window? With the current method I the Web inside CF is almost useless, maybe it is an internet explorer setting i'm missing?

Not sure about the speed, the loading sometimes stays up until I get the event the page is completly finished, but you can always click away and the loading will disappear and you can view the site right away...

as for the popup windows you have to enable popups in Web settings, they are disabled by default...

HI David,

If I want search in GPS a "Town,Address" for example "JOHN KINGS Avenue" commonly know "KINGS Avenue" the search fault becose dont found "JOHN"

This issue is very annoying becose many street in Italy have people name and surname, but commonly only Surname is used and the search engine doesnt found if missing Name.

DO you understand my Spaghetti English

Thank a lot

Paolo

thanks for acknowledging me David

There is one other guy who has the same screen flashing problem... Somewhere!

RR can cause the same problem with certain flash based skins too. It is strange but defo not anything to do with the screen, as it will also start doing it if I kill the power to the screen and then re-power it.
It NEVER does it on a cold boot, only on resume. And usually it will stablise after a few minutes, but when it won't, clicking on NAV (quickly when you can see it) will stop it.

The option to turn on & off directions list doesn't seem to work properly in the off state.

Can 3D angle in NAV be made a little more shallow, so it shows more infront, but close up of your location, and looks less like slightly tilted 2d view.

Route66 has a nice 3D view but they have discontinued the PC version

Is the skin structure set in stone yet so the skinners can start doing their thing?
